@GregMulholland1 Naah Greggers - wishful thinking. All the while that US Taxpayers are subsidising Netanyahu’s regime and much of it comes back to the US as bipartisan CPAC political donations the ball will keep on rolling. There is little to provide political friction.
More is the pity.
Brilliant British engineers at Rolls Royce have pioneered Small Modular Reactors - each of which generate 470MW.
That’s enough to power a million homes for at least 60 years.
They’re compact, totally safe and emission-free.
Why is Britain not doing all it can to accelerate their installation?
Energy would be cheap and abundant, helping our economy boom and making British people richer.
Instead, our politicians inflict hardship on their people, forcing them to subsidise wind and solar to the tune of £300 per household per year for the last decade and giving them the most expensive electricity in the world.
Enough.
This is nonsense.
It is not possible or relevant to take a penny off a £5+ pint.
We put dish of pennies on the bar labelled “The Chancellors P - help yourself”
We end up with more pennies.
Just irrelevant posturing for a cheap hackneyed headline.
Grow Up!
@GBPubConfed@CampaignforPubs@UKLabour What arrant nonsense - no pub can reduce the price of a £5+ pint by 1p.
We put a dish of pennies on the bar labelled “The Chancellors P - help yourself”
We end up with more pennies than we started with.
A “Penny off a pint” mattered when beer was 2s 6d not now.
Grow up!
@NoelReforms @Peston The stupidity is one thing, but the terrifying thing is the combination with a total lack of imagination of the consequences which would constrain a normal person
@artsonthemoveco@PubsAdvisory@EdwardJDavey@JMarkDodds@eaglealehouse We blame and criticise politicians but it’s clear from the PO enquiry that their civil “servants” who brief them control what they think.
In the case of pubs “you signed the contract” was an easy distraction
In the PO there was equivalent bigotry that takes time to counter
@PubsAdvisory Wow that was a long time coming! Good job @PubsAdvisory - let’s hope some of the big fish have not escaped the net of #fairdealforyourlocal while they were challenging its right to exist
Just like the numbers on Horsehill - absolutely Massive Gatwick Gusher.!!! £££. Now you are looking for oil with 3d seismic at a production well. - curious.
I’ve seen the numbers on Loxley for @UKOGlistedonAIM and they are massive. Massive ££££ for U.K. economy and we’ll over £100m for UKOG. And those independent numbers are usually conservative. Fantastic that #UKOG beat the greenies again. Read the Loxley reports. 🔥🔥🔥

So odd to see news feeds full of pub energy contract stories and firms making unjustified profit margins but when approached with horror stories about RPI, upwards only and rip off beer tie contracts which bust and close pubs there is zero interest. #ukpubs
Once upon a time, the energy minister presided over all of this for the public good. Now spivs keep people cold and shivering so they can make money trading energy. And every single “transaction” was not even a thing between 1948-1990. Something went badly wrong. 😔😔😔
