How stupid is the IRGC? They are attacking the strongest Kurdish faction operating in Iranian-occupied Kurdistan, even though that faction has maintained neutrality and refused to cooperate with either Israel or the United States. All PJAK asked for is a deal along the lines of the one the PKK struck with Turkey, which is hardly a lot, and yet the IRGC still chooses war.

Don’t cry when Washington’s war hawks start supplying them with MANPADS. You brought this on yourselves.

Not quite. Somehow 60% of Americans finished at least one book last year (YouGov); Pew says 75% read part of one. Median is only 2 books, and a small minority does most of the reading.
In Dickens’s time literacy was 50-70% and his audience was roughly 1 in 10 readers. Books matter less now as leisure, but they’re not dead.

People keep asking what will replace books. Nothing will. A book is the only technology that lets you borrow another person's mind for a week and give it back changed. We have not improved on that in five hundred years.

دقّة مهمة: ترامب لم يعبّر عن ندم، ولم يقل إنه ما كان عليه الإقدام من الأساس.

ما قاله حرفياً في تجمع أوهايو: "ربما ذهبنا بعيداً مع القادة لأننا لم نعد نعرف من نتعامل معه". والمعنى تقني بحت: تصفية القيادة أفقدته طرفاً يتفاوض معه، لا أكثر.

بل قبل أسابيع قال صراحة إنه لا يندم، ولو عاد به الزمن لفعل الشيء نفسه. العبارة تحوّل اعترافاً تكتيكياً إلى اعتذار، وهذا تحريف للمعنى.

If you want to be great, be ready to be seen. Judged. Misunderstood. Picked apart. They’ll mock what they don’t understand. Question what they can’t do themselves. Call you arrogant for wanting more. But that’s the price of greatness. The higher you climb, the louder it gets. More eyes. More noise. More resistance. If you can’t handle that price, you can’t handle being great.
