To top it all off, I visited The @aeartcentre’s Tom Thomson exhibit guided by Chief Curator Alicia Boutilier - an incredible cultural gem in the heart of the university.
Thank you all for having me and best of luck to students this exam season!
I also received a tour of Dr. Cathleen Crudden’s Lab where I learned about the revolutionary molecular coatings her team is developing. This technology has the potential to change our daily lives, and is being supported by funding from Canada’s New Frontiers in Research Fund.
It is with great sadness that we learn of the death of writer Steven Heighton, whose collection The Waking Comes Late won the 2016 GGBooks Award in Poetry. Our deepest sympathies to Steven’s family, friends and peers, and to everyone touched by his words. https://t.co/K3Myiby5pQ

Time for a good news story. Rebuilding the health workforce takes a comprehensive, interdisciplinary, cooperative approach. Today we heard about new positions for MD training in Ontario. Happy that @QueensUHealth is part of the solution. Let's celebrate.🎉 https://t.co/6zyT2NN1uv
We are thrilled at @ONgov's announcement today that @QueensUHealth will receive 20 undergraduate seats and 30 postgraduate positions in medicine. These much-needed seats will address physician shortages and improve access to care for Ontarians.
Thank you to @fordnation@JillDunlop1 and @celliottability for a historic investment in medical education at @queensu and across the province. It will improve access to top quality healthcare for Ontarians now and for decades to come. #onpse#onpoli

It’s been close to two years since I’ve been able to take in-person meetings & visit this place for @queensu — have to say: today was a little bit special!

A year ago today, I stopped taking weekly trips to @queensu from @VIA_Rail's Fallowfield station, where I'd often take a shot of the cornfield across the tracks. Here's a different view of how a year can pass... #covidversary
.@EdwardBurtynsky: For over 20 years my mother advocated for the people of Ukraine. She knows what it means to lose freedom and what it takes to fight to get it back. https://t.co/aF23eEjDvc
Save yourself & Canada, remove all your cash from the Banks, convert to gold & silver, transfer assets outside the country, place second mortgages on real property. If Parliament approves the emergency act, we become a communist country with no going back. #FreedomConvoy2022
John Honderich truly believed in Toronto, our city’s promise and its unique place in the world. He was just as passionate about the Toronto Star and how big a part quality journalism had to play in building a Toronto which was strong and prosperous but also inclusive and fair.
Freedom of expression, assembly, and association are cornerstones of democracy; but Nazi symbolism, racist imagery, and desecration of war memorials are not. It is an insult to memory and truth.
I am sickened to see protesters dance on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier and desecrate the National War Memorial. Generations of Canadians have fought and died for our rights, including free speech, but not this. Those involved should hang their heads in shame.
Good rundown of the characters behind the convoy. This is not a legit movement that has been hijacked by extremists. It was based in QAnon fantasies and related nonsense from the beginning.
