Delighted at the @APDSurgery website redesign. So much useful information, particularly in the https://t.co/0UHmZOnlSf section. Kudos to @amyhildreth for her leadership in the update!
Chief resident spotlight! While Juan Pablo Zhen-Lio hails from Brooklyn, he is now a Providence native after undergrad, med school and residency at Brown. Always a kind and calming presence, JP is planning on bringing his talents to a surgical critical care fellowship next year.
Just had a great History of Surgery presentation by a resident on Nina Braunwold. Dr Braunwold's family zoomed in on conference. Gave me chills of joy #brownsurgeryresidency
The great work by Dr Lafemina and her taskforce concerning "Surgical PD's expectations for the MS3 and MS 4 years" was presented at #APDS2020@APDSPresident@APDSurgery
#APDS2020@APDSurgery has all of the poster & podium presentations recorded and on a webpage for open comment and discussion. Should this be the norm every year? Would love to be able to see and discuss those presentations I canβt attend in person each year.
We learned yesterday #apds2020 that George Washington's skill as a great listener was critical to his success. The zoom cocktail party was a great place to listen. @APDSurgery
We should have mailed everyone their very own plenary room mints! That would have been awesome!!! #alwayslearning at #APDS2020. We will order a double order in Boston next year, esp for you @aehmd01 β what else are people missing?
This is my Program Director, Linda Reilly. She is demanding, funny, intimidating, and kind. And a great surgeon. I still look up to her as a PGY32. Thanks. @APDSurgery@UCSF_Naffziger@UNM_Surgery
@alexpeters Thxβ 1st evening of breakouts and the second night as well are on βhot topics,β COVID includedβ with one panel adding a section as wellβ not listed in condensed program but there!! Comments appreciated and we will make that clearer!!
