RFKjr just terminated 16 grants worth $38 million that funded: postpartum nurse visits to newborns and new moms in Denver, cancer screenings, first-responder suicide prevention, obesity programs for Native American youth, at-home blood pressure monitoring and produce deliveries for 150 New Yorkers, and infant/maternal mortality reduction for Black families in Arkansas — a state that leads the nation in that exact statistic.
Sixteen programs helping people not die. Gone, as of an August 25 letter.
And the reason? These no longer “advance current agency priorities.” The new priority, per the letter: erectile dysfunction, low testosterone, and low sperm count.
Yes, they are prioritizing limp dicks over sick babies and mothers. Somewhere in HHS, a bureaucrat looked at “babies dying” and “dad’s wet noodle” and picked the wet noodle.
Rep. Diana DeGette called it exactly what it is: prioritizing ED over the health and wellbeing of infants and new mothers.
This is the “Make America Healthy Again” administration, in case you forgot.
THEY DELETED THE ACCOUNT. DON’T LET THEM DELETE THE QUESTION.
Yesterday @Parodyjeffx posted a screenshot of a Grok reply that said Israel is committing genocide in Gaza.
It went viral within hours. This morning the account was gone.
If they can switch one person off the second a post breaks through, then “free speech” is just a slogan.
An account is not a life, but silencing one voice is how they teach the rest of us to stay quiet.
Stand up. Demand the account is reinstated. Demand a public explanation. Demand the same rules for every side.
What’s the point of any of this if they can just lock the door the moment someone rattles the cage?

MAGA cult members, remember when Trump personally awarded Dr. Anthony Fauci a Presidential Commendation for his work on Operation Warp Speed and the COVID vaccine?
Trump apparently didn’t.
When Megyn Kelly asked him about it, he claimed he had no idea who gave Fauci the award. Kaitlan Collins pulled the receipt: Trump himself issued it on January 19, 2021—his final full day in office.
Thanks, Kaitlan Collins. The internet never forgets, even when Trump does.
Trump’s EPA just decided that if a power plant exists solely to supply a data center, it is exempt from the Acid Rain Program. That means it no longer has to comply with the program’s limits on sulfur dioxide emissions, even though the pollution is exactly the same.
Congress created the Acid Rain Program in 1990 because sulfur dioxide and nitrogen oxides don’t stay where they’re emitted.
They travel downwind, fall as acid rain, damage lakes and forests, and worsen asthma in communities that may be hundreds of miles away.
Nothing about that science changes because the electricity is sold to one customer instead of many.
EPA is trying to create this exemption while avoiding Congress. But agencies cannot rewrite statutes by memo. If Congress intended to exempt privately dedicated power plants from the Acid Rain Program, we would have written legislation to do so. We most certainly have not.
EPA is attempting to narrow a law Congress enacted without Congress’s approval. Courts should reject it, and Congress should make clear that clean air protections apply based on pollution, not on who buys the electricity.
Our kids deserve clean air more than data centers deserve a special loophole.

U.S./Musk-aligned propaganda accounts continue their disinformation and disruption campaign targeting Europe. This time, they are focusing on Spain.
Their current talking points revolve around the "dangers of mass migration" and an "invasion" narrative, messaging designed to attract and cultivate a right-wing audience that can later be mobilized and weaponized.
By amplifying narratives that deepen polarization within EU member states, these campaigns aim to undermine confidence in European institutions and make collective policymaking more difficult.
A weaker or more divided EU may find it harder to enforce competition, privacy, and digital platform regulations, an outcome that could benefit large multinational technology companies. At the same time, a less cohesive Europe has long aligned with Russian strategic interests by complicating unified European responses on security, sanctions, and foreign policy.
eBay has agreed to pay $55.7 million to a couple who were harassed by former company employees after they published stories criticizing the online marketplace.
David and Ina Steiner, who run the news site EcommerceBytes, were sent some seriously disturbing packages, including live insects, a fetal pig, a bloody pig mask, a funeral wreath,
They were also stalked, threatened, and had fake online ads posted to send strangers to their home.
The harassment started after some eBay executives got angry over the couple’s coverage of the company.
As part of the settlement, eBay will pay $46.15 million, while former executives will pay the rest, bringing the total to $55.7 million. eBay will also donate $6 million to charities chosen by the couple.
Seven former eBay employees have already been convicted for taking part in the harassment, and eBay previously paid a $3 million criminal penalty over the case.
WTF
AI companies are purchasing large quantities of used and rare books. Scanning their contents to train models. Then turning the originals to pulp.
The sum of human thought, digitized and shredded.
Every book that gets scanned disappears from the physical world permanently. The knowledge survives only as training data inside a system no one can hold, browse, or resell.
What used to sit on a shelf for centuries now exists as weights in a model that might get deprecated next quarter.
Today’s biggest artificial intelligence startups make no shortage of bold promises. Their technologies, some boast, will revolutionize software development, drug discovery, and scientific research.
Yet a new preprint suggests many of these firms barely participate in one of science’s most fundamental practices: publicly documenting discoveries in scientific literature so other researchers can evaluate and build on them.
More than half of #AI unicorns—private companies valued at more than $1 billion—have never played a leading role in publishing a scientific paper or preprint, according to the new analysis.

Incredibly important new research published today shows the huge impact AI books are having on real writers’ ability to make a living.
Looking at self-published books on Amazon, they found:
- 20% of self-published books include substantial AI text
- Books using AI now make up 20% of total sales
- 1/3 of bestsellers include AI text
- As a result, authors who don’t use AI are making less money
AI companies like to argue in court that their models don’t financially harm the people whose work they train on. They think this strengthens their claims of fair use.
That argument is surely now well and truly dead.
Travel clean.
Bring a burner phone or a freshly wiped device with only what you need for the trip. download what you need after you arrive. This is now the standard advice from digital security experts, including Runa Sandvik, who told TechCrunch: "It's better to not have that data on you when you cross certain borders."
What CBP can legally do:
— demand your phone without a warrant
— copy its entire contents into a central federal database
— do this on suspicion alone
— before you're formally admitted to the country
This applies to US citizens returning home. not just foreign nationals.
What the Tunick case means for your device:
— a duress PIN is now legally risky at a US border. agents may interpret triggering it as destruction of evidence.
— having GrapheneOS installed could be framed as evidence of intent by prosecutors.
— refusing to provide a passcode is legally different; you can invoke your Fifth Amendment right to remain silent, but CBP may detain you longer.
Practical steps before any international travel:
1. back up your phone to an encrypted drive at home.
2. factory reset your travel device.
3. only reinstall apps you actually need for the trip.
4. log out of everything sensitive before landing.
5. if questioned: you can decline to provide a passcode. Say "I am invoking my Fifth Amendment right." They can still seize the device. They cannot currently compel the password itself.
If you're stopped:
contact the EFF's border search resources at https://t.co/dUfHtuIBvQ before you travel so you know your rights before you need them.
The border is not where you want to learn what your rights are.
In 2006, science fiction author Vernor Vinge wrote a novel called Rainbows End. The central plot: a mass digitization project at a university library where books are fed into machines that cut the bindings, shred the pages, and photograph them mid-flight. Destroying the physical to reconstruct the digital.
Marc Andreessen(@pmarca) called Vinge "one of the best forecasters in the world" the following year.
20 years later, the fiction is the press release.
We built the Arctic World Archive in a Norwegian coal mine to preserve human knowledge for 1,000 years.
We are shredding it in warehouses in California to train chatbots.
NEW: Israel is reportedly paying millions to shape how AI chatbots talk about Gaza.
According to Drop Site News, former Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale is overseeing an influence operation flooding the internet with hundreds of Israel-friendly articles designed to be discovered, cited and absorbed by systems like ChatGPT, Claude and Gemini.
This is not merely propaganda aimed at today’s audience. It is an attempt to influence the machines that will explain this war for years to come.
Hi! Nederlander hier. I have been targeted multiple times by the IDF while reporting on their activities in Lebanon. I have made the Dutch embassy aware each time. I have been shot at as recently as four weeks ago, had a grenade dropped close to me by an Israeli quadcopter and last year I was chased by a Merkava tank while reporting about an illegal IDF base in Houla. Almost all incidents were caught on video. Israeli snipers have shot at me 8 times (I am legally in Lebanon, they are not) Will you wait until they kill me to make a statement about specifically Israel’s murder spree? How many hundreds of us do they have to kill before you hold them accountable? They have killed almost 30 media professionals in Lebanon alone.
Here is a video of them dropping the grenade, below is the video of the Merkava tank.

The scariest part is once the physical copy is gone, whoever controls the AI controls history. They can rewrite the past and nobody will ever have the receipts to prove them wrong
