Veterans across North Dakota and across the country bravely served our nation and were promised timely access to the mental health care they need, no matter where they live. Despite North Dakota’s best efforts, they were denied by the bureaucracy. This award is a welcome change in direction, helping North Dakota’s veterans access mental health services and prevent suicide. I’m grateful to the @DeptVetAffairs and @SecVetAffairs for helping connect our veterans with the care they need and making sure some of our nation’s most vulnerable veterans can get help when they need it.

The Protect College Sports Act gives schools and student-athletes certainty. College sports should be about being in college—not creating a professional minor league. We are trying to protect what most of us who grew up with college sports know: for the vast majority, college athletics is a pathway to an education, while only a very small number go on to make it a career. We’re talking about students and their futures, and that’s something worth coming together for.

Joined a roundtable today with @SenJohnHoeven , @RepFedorchak , @NDagriculture Commissioner Goehring today hosted by @SecretaryBurgum to gather information from local landowners and discuss potential solutions to landowners’ concerns.

I’m convinced there are no biologists, chemists, geologists, or anyone else who can match the enormous intellectual understanding of how all this works more than the landowners, the farmers, and the generations of people who have farmed the land. The wrap-up is simply that progress is being made. I’m encouraged by it, and I hope you are as well. I’m looking forward to an outcome that allows me a little room to loosen up on some of the holds I have on people that the administration wants confirmed.

America’s share of global manufacturing output has fallen from 25% in 1997 to 15% today. Absent intervention, it could reach 11% by 2030.

The United States is losing its ability to produce the things it needs to defend itself, to power its economy and to care for its people. This failure is not because we lack talent, capital or technology. It is because we have made it nearly impossible to build anything here.

A Nebraska woman says abortion pills nearly killed her — and now she's taking her story to Capitol Hill.

Haile McAnally was just out of high school when she took mifepristone under the direction of medical professionals. After taking the second pill at home, she hemorrhaged for hours, dragged herself into the bathtub, and lost consciousness. A friend found her and called 911. She survived after a blood transfusion.

McAnally, a former registered Democrat, says when she tried to talk about what happened, the left shut her down. She's now allied with Susan B. Anthony Pro-Life America and heading to Capitol Hill on Thursday to push lawmakers to curb access to mail-order abortion pills.
