1/Thrilled and humbled to share that our new study is now published in @skeletaljournal (Skeletal Radiology)! 🦴
We used the MESA cohort to emulate a target trial asking whether metformin therapy is associated with changes in bone over time, measured with deep learning–based CT-derived vertebral bone mineral density (vBMD).

Honored to present our work on vertebral bone density and longitudinal changes in brain microstructural integrity in the MESA cohort as a podium presentation at #ASNR26 in Austin.
Join us in Lonestar A, 3:20–4:20 PM.

Thank you for pointing this out.🙏🏻
“Come the legal way” should actually mean something. Thousands of Iranian students, researchers, and professionals did exactly followed that. And now we left in indefinite USCIS limbo ❗️
We must help liberate the Iranian people, and we can do it. We can do it without our troops on the ground. Without a forever war. We can do it. Train them. Arm them. Support them. And we will never have to worry about nuclear arms from the Iranian regime ever again. Not only that, but the Middle East will also change for the better in ways that we cannot even imagine. The regime must be destroyed. The time is now.
As a rigorously vetted Iranian researcher, the USCIS hold on Iranian scholars critically delays my doctorate. I need to return to the lab to complete my vital research. Let's resolve this.

Yesterday morning I was in a naturalization ceremony for a client who applied in Dec and is now a US citizen. Yesterday afternoon I was in a hearing with a client who applied for naturalization in October and is being refused an interview. The difference? Where they were born.
I am screaming to the free world out there, maybe someone will finally hear us.
It has now been 6 months since @USCISJoe stopped processing not some, but all applications from hundreds of thousands of LEGAL immigrants, despite collecting over $1 billion in application fees. Many affected individuals, including me, have already lost their jobs because work permits are no longer being renewed or issued.
We are left in limbo, with no way to support our spouses and children, no health insurance, and no ability to obtain or renew driver’s licenses. Imagine legally working in critical fields like AI and medicine just a few months ago, and now being forced to stay home, unable to even afford groceries.
They are taking away the legal status and careers we spent years building, putting highly skilled LEGAL immigrants at risk of deportation. We have done nothing wrong in our immigration cases, yet our applications remain frozen, pushing people out of status or making life so difficult that they are forced to give up and leave the country.
All of this is happening in silence. Major media outlets are barely covering this crisis. There is no serious public discussion, no national attention, and no meaningful congressional debate.

Dear @JudiciaryDems@SenateGOP@SenatorDurbin@SenateDems,
For the past three months, members of our community have relentlessly pursued every possible avenue to raise awareness and bring attention to the @USCIS#pause on LEGAL immigrants:
- Meeting with senators, congressmen, and congresswomen
- Filing litigation
- Reaching out to news media
- Seeking support from universities
- etc.
Though they have been ignored, discouraged, and their concerns repeatedly overlooked:
They are NOT going to give up.
#LiftTheHold
Talking about USCIS Pause here:
If people had been notified ahead of time, many of us could have planned our lives differently and made informed decisions about our futures.
Instead, a sudden and indefinite hold was imposed on legally filed applications
after applicants had already paid hundreds of dollars in filing fees and followed every required process!!
These are real people with careers,
families,
research projects,
and responsibilities…
A policy like this should at least consider the human impact instead of abruptly disrupting lives simply because people were born outside the United States, regardless of how much they contribute to this country.
@SecMullinDHS@USCISJoe@StephenM
For 47 years the regime in Iran has waged war on the US and its allies. Today, the regime is weak and the people are prepared to topple it. The right policy today can redefine the next century. I look forward to discussing tomorrow at the @politico Security Summit.
