Step In | Join In | Through the Zones
⚽️ Created On: @SSPlanner
📌 Combine through the zones of the pitch. Step in or join in to overload the next zone
🧩 Set-Up:
➡️ 30 by 20 playing area with a pair of mini goals on each side of the pitch.
➡️ Split the field in half and place a pair of defenders, 🔴’s in each half.
👕Teams: 🔴’s vs ⚫️’s
⏯️ How to Play:
☑️ ⚫️’s start at one of the pitch and they aim to work the ball to the target ⚫️ at the opposite end of the pitch.
☑️ Only 1 ⚫️ can join the other half to overload it (doesn’t matter who it is). The player who passes to the target ⚫️ joins in, and the ball is worked in the other direction.
☑️ If the 🔴’s win the ball at any point, they try to score in any mini goal.
🚧 Constraints:
🏆Reward: First team to get 5 goals or there and back through the zones x 3 times
👨🏫 Review: Timing of support runs, decision to dribble or pass through the zones.
🚫 Restriction: Touch limit for the ⚫️’s.

I delivered an in-house CPD event for a great local grassroots club last night.
Started with team building and psych-social activities, before finishing with 2 of my favourite conditioned games.
The dice game and finishing noughts & crosses get great outcomes and are good fun.
@PeterPrickett However now I’m of the opinion that is why the 3v3 is better as it requires more decision making to create the right attacking principle at the right time.
@PeterPrickett I was always of the opinion that 4v4 was the best for development as it created natural width depth and height and that the 3v3 was always missing one………..
