@jasonmauck1 We know the correct way to grow skip row but $ wise it wont work out with the acres going back to lender. we are trying to find someone we can borrow from and show our plan and theyll work with us better.need litter early, dont have cash up front to buy, houses wont wait till EOY
@jasonmauck1 Our skip row cotton messed everything up because when we reported our acres as skip it flowed into insurance coverage was for less acres. which then got to our operating lender. well they saw that and towards the end of the season wouldnt give us the rest of our $ we needed.
@tropicalupdate just south of you today finally got much needed showers after many missed rounds on our madison county dirt to get back planting.georgia land has been getting a plethora.hopefully itll stick around for the next 2 weeks or so🤞🏽.maybe no hurricanes this year either.weve had plenty
@tropicalupdate north florida sandy soil turns into d2 conditions if it doesnt rain for 5 days it seems like. dont know how long its been now but we need some rain bad
@UCBearcat92 how about us in the south setup for cotton and peanuts? cheap lint no demand, overload on 🥜 acres this year due to cotton w/ mediocre contract & sorry ton limit lead to low pool $. not everyone is set up for grain harvest and paying someone else to do it adds up quick down here
@chaduthf where exactly on the rig are these bushings. im looking at getting one and according to the salesman its updated on all pips but for future knowledge would like to know where to look. central grease idea sounds nice would like to see what that looks like
@jasonmauck1 we’re still trying to finish picking cotton in south ga. as much as id like to have some wintery weather, ice is the last thing we need now
Proud of this paper. Would not have been possible without the strength of the county delivery system with @UGAExtension! First publication demonstrating the severity of this issue according to growers, county agents, and consultants. Actual loss data from grower fields is next!
America’s farmers aren’t a political football—they’re the backbone of our nation. They feed, clothe, and fuel us every day.
Food security is national security.
@NDSodbuster very clear that they arent in my part of the country where we were hit HEAD ON by 3 hurricanes in the past year. there is no “security” you can have to be able to make it through that perfectly fine.everyone isnt in the same boat but i know lots of people in my region need it
@NDSodbuster im young so i dont fully understand the in depth pros and cons of it but in my situation we truly need as must assistance to get fixed as possible. seeing some guys on here go on and on about how if youre in need of this assistance then you shouldnt even be farming but its
@OrinRomine@Dusty42402999@BayerCropProUS we made the switch to phytogen so we didnt have to worry about that problem. hopefully they arent targeted next. everyone else in my area grows non phytogen varieties except a handful that throws some in for the variation. going to be an interesting time.
