Our rural school Kalaivani Kalvi Maiyam, which provides completely free education to rural children, faced delays getting approvals from the previous government. Of course, significant money was demanded and we were told that was the only way, even if it is a completely free school.

SURPRISE CHECK AT 60 SUB-REGISTRAR OFFICES IN TAMIL NADU
320 POLICE PERSONNEL CONDUCT SEARCHES FROM 2.30 PM AFTER SECURING THE PREMISES

Due to an auspicious day for registering land and other documents at Sub-Registrar Offices (SROs) on Thursday (June 4, 2026), a large number of registration tokens were issued across the State. Taking advantage of the heavy public turnout, officials of the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) conducted surprise inspections at 60 selected SROs across Tamil Nadu.

The DVAC teams - around 320 policemen and policewomen - entered the SROs at around 2.30 pm, secured the premises and carried out searches to check for unaccounted cash and other irregularities. The inspections were conducted simultaneously at the selected offices as part of an anti-corruption drive.

It’s the right choice for @annamalai_k. He won this constituency by a margin of approx minimum in quantity of 2000-4000 votes.

According to this constituency, the political parties who have already allied with the NDA are the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP), Amma Makkal Munnetra Kazhagam (AMMK), Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK), and All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (AIADMK). These parties have all independently contested elections since 2000 and have strengthened their support bases through independent vote banks.

Currently, Tamilaga Vetri Kazhagam (TVK) is contesting this election. While it’s possible that TVK could split its independent vote bank, nothing currently seems likely to impact Annamalai’s victory in this
constituency.
