Two years ago today this man told us "I will cripple you" (referring to the entire U.S. economy) if we didn't give his east coast port union workers what they wanted (60%+ wage increases and a pledge of no automation of our ports). It worked btw, he got all his demands.
you can tell that some republican politicians are smart people who sold out to gain power, while other republican politicians really are just morons. here's one of the smarter ones realizing how dumb her colleagues are
Kind reminder that a nuclear engineer job in West LA where you have unpaid overtime and have to work on weekends makes as much as a Buc-ee's Car Wash Manager in a secondary Texas town.
Why does the sector struggle to hire, I wonder?
It’s still sooooo insane to me that I bought Minecraft in 2009 and had an account for over a decade, but some wack-ass account migration happened and I missed my window to manually port my account (which I have to do WHY?) so now I just don’t have a Minecraft account anymore
The minecraft community is so spoiled that they don’t realise how fucking amazing and rare it is that you only have to buy the main game once and then receive unlimited and FREE updates for all eternity. No they’d rather complain about free updates 😭😭
@shagbark_hick@Empty_America Im pretty much the same, There's actually a strong group of pro life Democrats here in South Central kansas, alot of them from the older generation, it's almost like their own party left them behind
When I was younger, “guy whose peak was high school football” was the worst type of guy I knew.
Now that I’m older and wiser, I know “guy whose peak was high school theater” is infinitely worse.
Disney owning Star Wars is genuinely horrible for a variety of reasons but one major one is how they just send failed directors from their marvel movies to work on Star Wars because they literally don’t give a shit
Chris Hunt is a genuine lunatic for making this gigantic ass game using an aging game engine by the end of it from scratch for over a decade, i cannot wait to see what insanity the man is cooking for Kenshi 2, i hope i am still alive by then when it releases in 30 years
I think one of the saddest things about modern childhood is the loss of cartoons as inheritance. I grew up watching Scooby-Doo reruns decades after it first aired. Kids today have more content than ever, but perhaps less shared cultural inheritance across generations.
Gaming is so unbelievably back.
Blizzard basically just said “remember everything you were obsessed with 20 years ago?” and brought ALL of it back at once.
WoW: Forever is basically going back to vanilla WoW…lvl 60, the original world/era, except instead of just replaying the exact same game they’re adding new zones, 1,000+ new quests, new raids and dungeons, and basically building out the version of old WoW that could’ve existed if they just kept going from there.
Then Warcraft III is getting its first new campaign/expansion in 23 YEARS, Diablo V is coming, StarCraft is somehow becoming an open world shooter, AND Diablo is getting an animated Netflix series.
Warcraft/WoW, Diablo, StarCraft… these aren’t just games people liked. Entire childhoods and friend groups and years of people’s lives are attached to these worlds. YEARS. THOUSANDS OF HOURS.
Vanilla WoW especially was one of those things you really had to be there for. Everyone was playing, you’d get home, and immediately log onto ventrillo and play until 3am.
If they actually pull this off we are 100% reentering a golden era of gaming.
