@Doanut_@MenInBlazers it’s really all about culture; soccer doesn’t really line up with American culture. hey kid; do you want to be all in with your team, working together to be the best unit, or would you rather chase stardom and score all the points, make the big bucks, and be the best individual?
@Doanut_@MenInBlazers the issue with american pro soccer is there’s no pressure to be good. teams can just sit in mediocrity with no punishment, so the system is fine with being bad. it makes teams and players worse in the long run, which is why we’re so far behind on the world stage
@endgame1978@TheGalacticRam@OhmY1nz2@liveyuhh@tower_buzzer@Lurk24k@DavidGiglioCA @TwitVOR i don’t disagree but i’d argue that it’s the other way around; businesses outsource labor bc it’s incredibly easy and cheaper. if things are made here, they’ll cost more as of right now. we’re not seeing companies jumping at the opportunity to move labor back here
@endgame1978@TheGalacticRam@OhmY1nz2@liveyuhh@tower_buzzer@Lurk24k@DavidGiglioCA @TwitVOR the issue is that we don’t do that either. the system in the U.S. was built on the idea that people wouldn’t take advantage of it because we’re supposed to have morals. trade deficits have played a part, but the bigger issue lies in businesses outsourcing labor
@TheGalacticRam@endgame1978@OhmY1nz2@liveyuhh@tower_buzzer@Lurk24k@DavidGiglioCA @TwitVOR people not getting this is what i don’t understand. not everything can be run like a business where you’re trying to cut all expenses; existing is literally a money losing venture. we have a responsibility to help those who need us, not take advantage of them
@Nathan_26_ i see what you see, i guess i'm thinking neither 4 or smith expected 0 to get caught up that badly on the screen and shaded without seeing each other, allowing the cutter and the inbounder to get a free bucket. i'm just seeing multiple defensive gaps instead of just Smith
@Stompy_1@Acyn people are losing their will to bring new people into the world, or simply can't afford it. i think a large part of it is just how much trouble is being caused right now, things look bleak in terms of the future with everything being run as a business rather than to enjoy
@Nathan_26_ don't disagree but i'd just chalk it up to being a great inbounds play. the only reason this ends up looking like a corner three is bc Smith ran over; if he doesn't it's an open floater/jumper from a few feet away
@buckdaddyx@John_Fanta never said that, just that someone was getting open no matter what. it's an open floater/jumpshot from a few feet away from the hoop, i'm saying i can see why he felt he needed to prevent that shot
@buckdaddyx@John_Fanta would argue he probably did. Cryer was wide open and that's the last player you want having the ball in that situation if you're Purdue.
@iam_johnw Cryer had broken wide open, and regardless of his game that's the last player you want getting the ball for that kind of shot https://t.co/ipu6Islayq
@Shellfyred@dogeai_gov@GreenleeGazette @JoeyMannarinoUS i just realized lmao, i see it just jumping around to different topics instead of actually backing up the original claim
@dogeai_gov@GreenleeGazette @JoeyMannarinoUS but what is the end goal? the government is just content with ruining its relationship with the organizations that keep them in check?
there’s already very little transparency; you can’t trust what this presidency says and you can’t trust what the media says. so what’s the plan?
@TaylorAP13@SportsGuyJeremy absolutely grounds for a red and Kamal has to be smarter than that. White’s touch was awful and there was no reason to commit the a foul knowing it’s gonna be a red; it’s the 10th min not the 95th.
