I don't know a single person who works in tech and hasn't seriously thought about quitting and opening up a coffee shop in a small town in the middle of nowhere
I think @elonmusk is right. Many Silicon Valley software engineers work in “honey trap” environments. Massively underutilized individuals. They are told they’re going to “change the world”, end up maintaining a 20 year old codebase, and are discouraged from innovating.
