1/2. We absolutely need to send a big shout out to all the QCH staff & physicians who raised their hand to work shifts in Long Term Care homes. Thank you for your strength and kindness. These photos represent a small number of our team who are working out in the community....
We would like to extend our deep appreciation for the fabulous team @ Fairfield Inn and Suites in Kanata for their amazing support. We will be ready next week to transfer 16 patients to our retrofitted site there— those who can safely be cared for outside of hospital setting.
Been laying here in bed quietly shedding a few tears. Sometimes it overcomes me. It’s ok to let the tears flow if you need to. Give yourself permission to feel exactly as you feel, moment by moment. I know it will pass and I have hope, but that doesn’t mean it’s not hard.
In visiting our Mental Health unit today I had a chance to reflect on what a difficult time this is for many. Anxiety. Depression. I’d like to thank @QCHottawa MH team for their good work, and encourage everyone to discuss how they are feeling and seek help if needed.
Ottawa Lean Community of Practice Goes Virtual
What better time to foster community and share #lean knowledge than during a time of crisis. Participants shared creative ideas in support of their organizations during these unprecedented times.
Every time we see someone driving up with a donation we get so excited, and overwhelmed with gratitude for the community we are a part of.
Thank you for everything you do. 💙
Meet some of the ACE unit staff: skilled, caring healthcare professionals helping patients in isolation for respiratory illness. They have been unbelievable - adaptable, and committed to the care of their patients (they are standing 6ft apart, we promise!)
Thank you team! 💙
If we're on a Zoom call, I don't care if your kids are in the frame, having a meltdown in the background, or are sitting in your lap playing with your keyboard. I get it. The fact that you're continuing to work is a minor miracle. Just do your thing.
To parents entertaining kids during social distancing and quarantine: IF YOU KEEP THEM ALIVE THAT IS SUFFICIENT. Don't feel guilty if you're not enriching their souls, teaching them kumihimo & sign language & engaging their spirits. Toss them some fish sticks; they'll be fine.
