the Lions schedule is pretty amazing
first, Detroit plays the #1 easiest schedule thru Week 6
only 1 opponent is expected to have a winning record (BUF)
and after Week 4, Detroit plays ONE game outside prior to January 3rd... and it's in Miami
even though Detroit lost a home game to Germany, it sets up really well for the home dome Lions
and overall, it's the #1 easiest overall schedule for any team this year

Someone just told me about this woman on Instagram who genuinely thought "JFC" stood for "just for clarification." She'd been dropping it casually in professional emails for years.
It instantly reminded me of my own mom, who for the longest time was convinced "LOL" meant "lots of love."
I swear to God, she once commented on a Facebook post where someone had shared tragic news: "So sorry for your loss. LOL."
I flip cards of a randomly shuffled 52-card deck over one by one. At any point you can say "STOP" and you win if the next card flipped is black. What's your probability of winning?
It turns out the answer is 50%. It feels like waiting to collect info should help but it doesn't - eg if you wait til the last card you will know for sure what it is, but it will still only be black 50% of the time.
The analogy in startups is: waiting longer makes you more likely to know if you're right. But not more likely to be right.
Just do things!
INCREDIBLE story from Fernando Mendoza on his 4th Down TD run:
We were hoping they were in 2 Tampa Drop 8
but they didn't come out in that
half the field went zone, half the field went man
well if it’s man I'm supposed to throw it, if it's zone I'm supposed to run it
I'm like, screw it, I'm gonna bet on myself, I'm going to die on that field
What % of snaps did each NFL defense get to face either a backup QB or one of the worst QBs in the NFL (30th or worse by EPA)? The Patriots with a ridiculous 61% of total snaps came vs backup/bad QBs. They only faced what Id call three bonafide QBs all year (Allen 2x + Lamar) and Lamar was only for 12 plays. Otherwise, Dart coming off a concussion on MNF and Baker in the midst of his 2nd half slump were the only other halfway decent QBs. Phew
