A laudable action by the honourable #AllahabadHighCourt, directing issuance of contempt notices to @OfficeOfDMAgra and @agrapolice on their motivated and malicious bulldozer action on #RadhasoamiSatsang property, in contravention of the court's stay order.

The various attempts through the years by the #Agra administration to illegally take over land in #Dayalbagh, hand-in-glove with #LandColonisers, are slowly but surely coming to light. Dayalbagh's fight for truth and justice will continue until all land-grabbing conspiracies and #HumanRights atrocities of the administration are exposed.

In the last couple of threads on #values, we discussed some of the practices that help institutionalise the #Dayalbagh Way of Life. These values include respect for elders and women, women empowerment, simple living and brotherhood of man (beyond caste, region, money and language).

In this thread, I want to delve on what #Dayalbagh does to provide selfless service to the broader community, without the narrow constraints of religion, faith, region, state, language and caste.

Let me start with #Medical Camps. We must have done hundreds of these across the country, with many many Lakhs of beneficiaries. More in the next tweet.

Revered Gurcharan Das Mehta ji Sahab was born in Punjab in 1885. He was extraordinarily intelligent from childhood and obtained high ranks in class. In the Matriculation Examination, He stood first in the district.

He passed His B.A. from Government College, Lahore securing second position in B.A. final examination. He stood 10th in the order of merit for entrance into Civil Engineering.

He passed his Engineering from Thomason College of Civil Engineering, now called Indian Institute of Technology Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) and was awarded medals for best Engineering Design, Surveying and Drawing.

He joined the Public Works Department of Punjab and rose to the position of Chief Engineer and Secretary to Government before retirement. Very few persons of Indian parentage could break the glass ceiling and reach these positions pre-independence.

In December 1938, Mehtaji Maharaj was acclaimed as the sixth Sant Satguru of the #Dayalbagh #Radhasoami faith.

There is so much that can be written about what He did after acclamation as Sant Satguru, but that I will leave for another day.
