In Dakshina Kannada, Muslims are facing serious attacks. There is fear and no safety. But the Congress government, which promised protection, is now silent. This silence is shocking and painful.

Muslims voted in large numbers for Congress in 2018 and 2023, helping them win. Congress promised safety, justice, and equality. But today, when Muslims are being attacked, their MLAs and ministers are not speaking up.

There are over 09 Muslim MLAs in Karnataka. But most of them are quiet. Are they more worried about their positions than the people?

Mangalore: Muslim leaders of the Dakshina Kannada District Congress decided to resign together, protesting the killings of innocent Muslims and the government’s silence. This created a big stir in the Congress party and the state government.

To stop the resignations, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah personally got involved. He visited senior leader B.K. Hariprasad’s house with Minister Zameer Khan and his political secretary Nasir Ahmed. They discussed the recent violence in detail.

CM Siddaramaiah then spoke directly to district minority wing president K.K. Shahul Hameed over the phone, asking him not to resign. He promised strong action: changes in the police department, strict steps against communal forces, justice for victims, and full support from the government. He also said Minister Dinesh Gundu Rao and B.K. Hariprasad would go to Mangalore to listen to their issues.

Major changes in the police department are expected soon.
