He didn’t just destroy a ULEZ camera. He blew it up with a homemade explosive device
It damaged cars & houses, with shrapnel hitting outside of a child's bedroom
The judge ruled the offence had a "terrorism connection"
Did you even check the facts of the case before posting?
Racists continually insist that black and brown people can never be English. Then they accuse them of 'refusing to integrate'. I mean, make your bloody mind up.
I agree with @b_judah’s analysis.
For those of us who have spent a decade warning about Brexit’s damage, this moment is cathartic.
Support for rebuilding Britain’s place in Europe is stronger than ever and this poll shows that political courage will be rewarded, not punished.
To all the haters!
Hope will always beat hate, so keep sending those nasty tweets.
In the words of Michelle Obama, When they go low we go high!
@Sagal_AW will be a fantastic MP and congratulations to @LiamConlon2 on running such a fantastic campaign.

As Durham implodes this is interesting.
First this and then the Deputy Leader is Darren Grimes
Darren's mother and brother were elected to the same council.
They now have 50 councillors
We must cut MPs expenses.
We shouldn't be paying the housing costs on a millionaire's 2nd home.
MPs should live and work in their own constituency save for when they have to go to Westminster to participate in a debate or vote.
My mother, an eminent literary figure, had no idea who I was in the last year of her life. It was more distressing than her death. That’s about as low as it gets, @Iromg & @PaulCoxComedy.
The “contribution” argument on the triple lock is a poor. For a start, it is very hard for anyone living during their working life not to meet the contributory requirements. And in any event, this entitles you to receive a pension, not to uprating under a specific formula. 1/2
@kitty_donaldson The Tories have no actual policies they failed so miserably in government so will just oppose anything Labour do, or state policies they are going to do, and we all wonder why they never did said thing when they were in power for 14 years
EXC: Members of the Shadow Cabinet say Kemi Badenoch should abandon the Tory commitment to the triple lock.
💫”It’s unaffordable in the long term, of course we should keep our options open,” a member of the Shadow Cabinet told The i Paper. “I see why Kemi’s doing it, but I don’t think we should commit to it so far away from an election.”
💫Another member of the Shadow Cabinet warned the Tory policy commitment is unlikely to last until 2029, when the election is due, “unless a miracle happens and the public finances pick up. We’ve still got to find the money for defence.”
💫 But the timing of an election is exactly why Badenoch is sticking to her guns. Even though Andy Burnham and his No 10 team have spent most of the last month hosing down the idea of going to the country before 2029, the Tory leader and her key allies think the Prime Minister could call an election as soon as next May.
💫 The Conservatives are so concerned about an early election that Badenoch has instructed Tory MP Neil O’Brien to draft the party’s next manifesto.
💫According to an aide, Badenoch’s commitment to the triple lock is because she is “very hot on the idea of contribution”.
“It’s the idea that if you’ve paid in, then you have made a contribution and you shouldn’t be penalised for that and that is where we start when it comes to pensions,” the aide added.
💫 As the Tories gather in Birmingham instead of calling this a normal, workaday conference, the party is dubbing it a grandiose “festival of ideas”.
💫Last year, organisers held Badenoch’s keynote speech in a smaller side room to avoid embarrassing photographs of empty chairs, but this year she will deliver it in the city’s International Convention Centre’s 2,200-seater Symphony Hall.
💫This will be the first time a leader’s speech has been held there since former prime minister Theresa May memorably walked out to ABBA’s “Dancing Queen” in 2018.

What did the public actually hear about Labour conference?
Andy Burnham’s speech dominated the conversation, with two policy announcements particularly cutting through:
👵 Changes to the pension triple lock
❤️ Social care reform and the National Care Service
The chance of Donald Trump completing on this…
…are about as slim as Donald Trump going back and honouring his contracts to pay all those places where he infamously did rallies on promises of payment to venues, then never did.
