We tried to dissect the role of TRPV4 in adipogenesis and lipid droplet formation with a particular focus on mitochondria (since we reported TRPV4 are present on mitochondria!)

Surprisingly, we discovered that, not only mitochondrial but TRPV4 can actually also affect the temperature of lipid droplets in mature adipocytes. This may affect the transfer of fatty acids and metabolism of adipocytes.
