But I also have a Chinese character, with ancestors from mainland China who migrated to Thailand, Singapore, Malaysia and Java (Austro-Asiatic).

@simongerman600 In Indonesia, skin whitening is kinda outdated. Ppl here prefer sunscreen bc it's healthier & looks more natural. It keeps ur real Indonesian skin tone, without too much direct sun exposure. A 2025 Populix survey found 87% of 1,026 ppl use sunscreen. It's the most used one.
