A Georgia man is walking free after defending his family and property at 4 a.m. when three masked thugs rolled up to rob people in his front yard.

The suspects — 16-year-old Isaiah Reid,
15-year-old Jaime Hernandez, and
16-year-old Brandon Gresham,
all from Conyers —

were masked and armed. One teen opened fire first.

The homeowner returned fire, dropping all three. Would-be victims unharmed. Deputies recovered two guns at the scene. Rockdale County Sheriff Eric Levett called it a clear “stand your ground” case.

No charges against the homeowner.

On August 4, 2014 Michael Connor Verkerke was spending time with his little brother at the playground near his home when he was attacked by an older boy. 9 yr old Connor never met the other boy, 12 yr old Jamarion Lawhorn, out of nowhere Jamarion pulls a hidden knife out of the sand & stabbed Connor 8 times in the back. The victim's brother helped him back to the porch of their home, where Connor told the 7 yr old "it's not your fault" & "I'll always love you" as he bled to death.

Jamarion was released from custody in 2021. He's a free man.

A black 12 year old murdered a 9 year old white boy for no reason at all. He was only sentenced to seven years of juvenile detention. If you search for the news stories on this, none will mention the racial facts, and many will try to portray the murderer in a sympathetic light.
