WhatsApp, Signal and other apps would be forced to drop the encryption. This is a massive blow of right to privacy of individuals. For once, Meta is in the right here! It wont be a problem if we have indigenious E2EE apps or everyone uses Signal though because Meta does suck(2/2)
Oh my god. Don't get me wrong I am a nationalist too but i will NEVER let the government read my private chats. They will ban EVERY encrypted chat app that doesn't allow them access to ALL your messages. Normies don't understand that this isn't even possible with e2ee so... (1/2)
We've decided to sunset Arc on December 22, 2026.
That's not an easy sentence to write. We spent years building Arc and celebrating each and every release along the way: we have so much pride and love for what we made alongside the Arc community.
Our priority is to deliver best-in-class security for our members. Keeping a browser secure takes constant, dedicated work that is only increasing in the age of AI. Dia was built from the ground up to meet today’s security standards, so that's where our engineering and security teams will focus moving forward.
We've worked to make switching to @diabrowser as easy as possible for Arc members. Here's how:
· Your passwords, bookmarks, extensions and history come over to Dia seamlessly.
· Spaces, Folders, and Tab Groups are in Dia and import over with your data intact.
· Dia now surpasses Arc benchmarks in stability, speed, and security.
· The browser features you use in Arc are free in Dia, and the AI is optional.
Thank you for using Arc, for pushing us to make it better, and for building alongside us. The team that made Arc is the same team behind Dia, and some of our most ambitious work is just ahead. We'd love for you to be there with us when it lands.
@epei0s@iamsahaj_xyz finally someone who doesn't tell you to burn tokens vibecoding chromium and then compiling it 🥀
anywho, anything we can do to bump the PR?
It's natural for the job market to get competitive as the time progresses and you can't really do anything about it other than improving yourself. You just have to be different than everyone else or prepare to be silent with your pay.
nothing against her but i hope founders and recruiters take this as a joke and not some new hiring standard. not every talented designer has the time, money or resources to make a cinematic ad just to prove they're good at their job.
