Accelerating Land Acquisition to Drive Maharashtra's Industrial Growth

Chaired a review meeting regarding land acquisition for various projects under Maharashtra Industrial Development Corporation (MIDC) at Varsha Bungalow in Mumbai today.

Directed that land acquisition be expedited to accelerate industrial development across Maharashtra. To enhance transparency in industrial plot allotment, the 'MILAP' online system has been introduced, enabling online applications, real-time tracking, automated issuance of offer letters and allotment orders, along with a comprehensive monitoring dashboard. Also directed to ensure the timely availability of land and faster execution of investment projects.

Instructed that project-specific timelines for plot development be prescribed, with mandatory commencement of construction within the stipulated period, graded penalties for delays and repossession of plots wherever necessary. Further directed that land allocation criteria be revamped by adopting national and global best practices to ensure greater uniformity, accountability and efficient utilisation of industrial land.

Also reviewed industrial plot allotment, redevelopment of undeveloped plots, policy reforms, plot rationalisation and the progress of land acquisition for key industrial projects.

Senior officials were present.

Nashik TCS Case and Nida Khan Arrest Update:

Nida was in police custody till today and, following her interrogation, the Nashik Road Court has sent her to 14 days of judicial custody. She has now been moved to Nashik Road Central Jail.

A 50-page report on the matter was submitted to CM Devendra Fadnavis by @NCWIndia. The report has verified all the allegations and this is what it says:

1. The female employees in the office were sexually harassed and attempts were made to molest them.

2. The accused used to bully female employees by denigrating Hindu beliefs and traditions. They would insist that Islam was a far superior religion and belittle Hindu Dharma.

3. There were cases of sexual harassment and stalking through comments and behaviour that made the females feel humiliated.

4. There was a complete absence of any formal complaint mechanism in the office.

5. The office was controlled by Danish, Tausif and Raza. They protected Ashwini Chainani, and no employee had the courage to raise their voice against them. Those who did face transfer and termination.

6. No CCTV was installed.

7. Zero compliance with the POSH Act.

With all these allegations verified, @TCS is now in big trouble.
