We are proud to stand with the LGBTQ community in the United States, Israel, and around the world in celebrating the progress made in fighting for acceptance and equal rights. Happy Pride! 🏳🌈
Honor of my life to interview three of my heros on the #AJCGloFo plenary stage today about American Jewry at this moment of America at 250- in all its wonder and complications.
At #AJCGloFo, Rabbi Angela Buchdahl, Dara Horn, and Professor Jonathan Sarna—three leading American Jewish voices—examined the past, present, and future of the American Jewish experience and what this moment reveals for the Jewish people.

My wife Toby and I are in @Israel becoming citizens. At the Interior Ministry, the official reviewing our papers - a Jew who came from Ethiopia in 1991 - asked me for proof that I was Jewish.
I showed him letters from our rabbi. As I did so, tears began to flow.
I told him: “I remember the 1970s and ’80s, when we marched and protested so Ethiopian Jews could come home to Israel. Back then, many questioned whether Ethiopian Jews were Jewish at all. We insisted our Black brothers and sisters were as Jewish as any of us.”
And now, 35 years later, here was a holy Ethiopian Jew confirming my Judaism.
We had come full circle.
Holding his hand, I sang: “Zeh hayom asah Hashem, nagilah ve’nismechah bo” - This is the day God has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it.
Jews from East and West have returned home together.
Am Yisrael chai v’yichyeh.
Mayor, my grandparents were expelled from their land too. I have deep sympathy for the many Palestinians who experienced that.
I’m not going to debate who was responsible.
My grandmother fled North Africa and Iraq after the Farhud of 1941. Six years before any war over Israel. Palestinians were expelled during a war Arab states launched against us.
Over 850,000 Jews were driven from Arab lands. Almost none remain.
Maybe the mayor of New York should stay out of it. Or speak to both. Don’t weaponize one trauma while actively erasing another.
Especially when using this “Visit Palestine” poster created by Frank Krausz, a Holocaust Survivor and a Zionist Jew.
A huge mazal tov to AJC Leaders for Tomorrow alumni Elana Ernst and Yael Bar-Lev on being selected as 2026 @BronfmanFellows.
This highly selective program chooses just 26 Jewish high school student leaders from across the United States and Canada each year and its alumni have gone on to become some of the most influential voices in Jewish life.
We are incredibly proud to see two LFT alumni — from our DC and NYC cohorts — recognized for their leadership, passion, and commitment to the Jewish future.

Commencement should be a moment to model leadership and shared values. The faculty senate president at the University of Michigan had that chance over the weekend and instead chose to hijack a unifying moment to inject his anti-Israel politics.
As a proud Jewish Michigan alum, I thank President Grasso for calling out the harm caused by those remarks.
What happened at Michigan’s graduation is about more than commencement, it’s about campus culture. Ensuring that moments like this and the broader campus environment reflect the university’s highest values require clear, consistent leadership from the university’s president and Board of Regents, and I urge them to lead. I welcome the opportunity to support efforts to strengthen a campus culture grounded in respect, responsibility, and informed dialogue, one that rejects the weaponization of shared moments to advance division.
Jewish American Heritage Month begins today!
This May, we celebrate the rich culture and heritage of the Jewish people, and the countless contributions of American Jews to our nation’s history.
It was so uplifting to be back at my alma mater @columbia with @AJCCEO Ted Deutch and be inspired by such incredible student leaders. The kids are most decidedly alright.
Last night at @Columbia, I was reminded why this work matters.
The next generation of Jewish leaders is inspiring and they deserve to learn and grow without threats of harassment or intimidation.
@AJCGlobal's Center for Education Advocacy is dedicated to making that a reality, giving students the tools, confidence, and community they need to stand proudly for their Jewish identity and be effective advocates on campus and beyond. Jewish life is strong, and getting stronger.
Love this so much! Bringing our students into archives is such a wonderful way to nurture curiosity, engagement in our history, and passion. @yivoinstitute is amazing!
Mayor Mamdani’s repeated use of the “genocide” accusation against Israel is not just wrong - it’s dangerous. It distorts reality and fuels antisemitism at a moment when Jews are already under threat. Leaders who claim to stand for human rights should not use rhetoric that puts Jewish communities at risk.

You can hear the echo if you listen across media outlets. A line dropped here, a shrug there, each one shifting the Overton window another inch. Until the moral ground moves beneath our feet and the unthinkable becomes speakable: that shooting up Jewish children in a synagogue nursery is somehow justified because …something something …Israel.
NYC surged to a high of 69 today, marking the first time Central Park reached the 60s since *November 9, 2025*.
This ends a remarkable stretch of 118 consecutive days below 60F, the longest such stretch since 1981-82 with 122 consecutive days below 60F.
I’m so fucking sick of snark from people on here because I talk about Jew hatred a lot.
First, those who have followed me for a while know this has been a focus of mine for more than 10 years — it’s not something I suddenly picked up post–October 7.
My focus is largely on extremism, particularly in America, not on Israel, although I fully understand there’s crossover.
Second, people who say my focus on this is cringe, annoying, or stupid either don’t understand how serious this problem is — or they’re Jew haters themselves.
This is an urgent matter.
I wouldn’t spend this much time on it if it weren’t.
And despite what some people online seem to believe, it certainly isn’t lucrative or helpful to my career.
We know from decades of research that once someone adopts a fully developed antisemitic worldview, it becomes very, very difficult to deradicalize them — though not impossible.
I don’t want to lose more people to the abyss of Jew hatred.
As far as I’m concerned, this is existential.
When hatred of Jews becomes part of someone’s identity and worldview, it shapes how they understand everything: politics, morality, and even their sense of belonging.
Antisemitism operates differently from many other forms of hatred because it is conspiratorial in nature rather than simply prejudicial.
Conspiracy beliefs are self-sealing: evidence against them is interpreted as proof of the conspiracy itself.
People who adopt strong antisemitic views often move into social ecosystems that reinforce those beliefs: online communities, ideological networks, and political movements.
Antisemites also see their hatred as morally justified.
In their minds, they are defending civilization, fighting corruption, exposing hidden evil, and, as many of you learned recently, exposing child-killing pedophiles.
Once hatred becomes framed as a moral duty, deradicalization becomes far more difficult.
Antisemitism also “explains” everything to the Jew hater.
Because Jews are falsely framed as the hidden cause behind many unrelated problems, Jews become the grand explanatory theory for the world’s failures and for the failures and challenges people have personally.
People who criticize me or mock me ultimately don’t bother me.
But it is deeply annoying and concerning — particularly because they cannot even claim that I spend my time advocating for Israel or defending the decisions of the Israeli government.
So their issue is with Jews.
Ultimately, if you have a problem with me talking about this, you can kiss my Iranian ass.
It was great to welcome high school students from @AJCGlobal to the Capitol. Across the nation and the world, we're seeing an alarming rise in antisemitism, and I'm proud of these young leaders who are focused on combatting hate.
The loooong line of kids waiting to talk to Ted @AJCCEO after his talk tells you everything you need to know about LFT and our students. So proud of the amazing professionals in @AJCGlobal Center for Education Advocacy who created such an impactful summit for our teens.
This amazing group of young Jews makes up the single largest Leaders for Tomorrow (LFT) summit we’ve ever had!
It’s incredibly inspiring to see the next generation of Jewish Americans so engaged in protecting our community and fighting for a better future for Jews and for the Jewish State.
Speaking with them is always a highlight of my year and I’m so grateful that @AJCGlobal can host them here in Washington.
Guys - the future is VERY bright. I spent the last 3 days with our passionate, smart, and proudly Jewish @AJCGlobal LFT students in Washington, DC. What a gift to be able to empower them with mentorship, skills, and knowledge - and what a gift to be uplifted by them!
AJC’s Leaders for Tomorrow delegation spent the day on Capitol Hill, meeting with U.S. Senators to discuss combating antisemitism and strengthening the U.S.–Israel relationship.
Our largest LFT cohort to date is gaining hands-on experience from AJC experts, building the skills needed to advocate confidently and proudly for the Jewish people.
We thank @SenFettermanPA, Sen. @RogerMarshallMD, @SenAdamSchiff, and Sen. @BernieMoreno for meeting with our LFT delegation this morning.

Today, the last hostage in Gaza, Ran Gvili, is home. Ran was a special forces officer who was at home on October 7, 2023, when Hamas attacked. He quickly joined his team and fought off dozens of terrorists until he was murdered at Kibbutz Alumim.
His body was taken hostage and held for more than two years. Now, he has finally been returned to Israel.
Ran is remembered for his selflessness, kindness, and big heart, and he will forever be honored as a hero who defended his country. May his memory be a blessing.
Shalom, y'all!
Honored to join @AJCGlobal's President, Bobby Lapin, at his synagogue for a powerful conversation about combating antisemitism & why global Jewish advocacy matters now more than ever.
Grateful to the Houston Jewish community for their hospitality.

Waking to the news of an arson attack on a Mississippi synagogue feels all too familiar. This description is chilling. We stand with the Jackson community ✡️💪🏼
Grateful that law enforcement has apprehended a suspect. Glad the Mayor has spoken out. Now will you touch base with your Jewish friends, neighbors and co-workers? Let them know that you understand this attack in Jackson is an attack on them as well. Tell them you stand with the Jewish community. It will mean more than you know.
“The library and administrative offices of Jackson’s only synagogue were reduced to charred ruins. Two Torahs were destroyed and five were damaged in the flames that erupted during Shabbat, the weekly Jewish day of rest, according to temple leaders. One Torah that survived the Holocaust was in a glass case and was undamaged in the fire.”
