@andrewbstern FISP (LL11) architect here. We often see more items of concern on postwar (white brick, etc.) buildings than their prewar counterparts. Spalling bricks, too few/no masonry anchors/anchors that are corroded away, etc. FISP is not a policy failure.
@samir They found that houses without eaves had a greater probability of surviving (eaves catch embers). I was also fascinated about why/how passive houses survived the fires.
