He's a warranted officer like all Constables, it's a job title

Today, we published water-related fatality data for 2024.

There were 597 water-related fatalities in the UK last year, 193 of which were accidental. May saw the most accidental fatalities, whilst 61% occurred at inland locations.

We’re a very small part of the police family & today we remember one of our own, PC Stanley Moore.

As a police diver, Stanley lost his life whilst searching for 2 missing children at Howley weir on the River Mersey in Warrington in 1969.

He left his wife & 4 children. 🌹
