@garyvee This is an absolute mood, a truth. All those times that I remember failing to be grateful, no matter how successful I may have been, I never felt happy. But like, experiencing the success with people and being grateful for it all, it’s indescribable. Nothing else compares to it.
It’s been a little over a month since starting my new job, and today was an opportunity to tour work in-person, meet the amazing folks that I’ll work with and finally, meet my boss. Today was awesome 😊

@alyssa_CLT I’d love to see the data on this. Race is certainly an important metric, but I’m curious of the other factors, e.g. the cost living, specifically rent (which has been a motivator for myself in deciding to stay or leave). I wonder what the data shows.
@TylerRickyTynes @blaqout89 I don’t want the energy people are experiencing to not fade but unfortunately it tends to be a trend. If Trump’s presidency shows us anything, it’s that people have to stay active and involved and not forget the issues we deal with in the US.
@AnnaHenschel Absolutely! I legit feel that by the time you write it, the stress of being in the weeds heightens the feels and it all comes out. I was a hot mess when I wrote mine.
Great read. In my opinion, the idea of being “woke” maintains its original intent, but the connotations in today’s world reach much further. Getting lost translation is natural I guess, but it was intriguing to see history of how we got to the term “woke” #staywoke@ajaromano
