@te_jenson @usama_bilal Both. He’d previously pointed out that age 4 was a common period of dramatic growth among 187 ppl with heart failure. So then he said exactly what @usama_bilal heard, while the quote I gave was the text on the slide at that moment. Bc fatness after age 8 isn’t as big of a deal

@te_jenson I missed the Covid part, but we must make sure that “children refrain from becoming fat before the age of 8.” I’m hearing the science, but so stuck about how to move the needle on how we talk about peoples bodies. Fat is not a bad word, 1/

The long run goal is to help people with relevant life experience get into leadership roles, whether that's as PIs or supervisors, etc, and we as academics can provide that friendly, frank window into how to do that. Takes time but is so worth it to enrich study and service.
