Rick Davies, the Supertramp co-founder, singer, and keyboardist who penned some of the band's most popular and enduring songs, including "Goodbye Stranger," "My Kind of Lady," and "Cannonball," has died at age 81.

I am going to go on a rant here, and call out the plank in my own eye as a rancher.
A wealthy businessman has been buying run-down cattle ranches in my area. He then gets NRCS money to pay for improvements like wells, water troughs, pipelines and fences. Then he sells the ranches at a nice profit.
NRCS is paying for a new well, 10,000 gallons of storage and a rubber tired watering trough. He paid me to install the trough.
When I got there, I tasted the water out of curiosity, because much of the aquifer in this area is very salty. The water from is well is the saltiest I have ever tasted. Just like water in Great Salt Lake. Neither cow nor wild animal will ever drink this water.
I called the owner and informed him of this so he could plan appropriately before spending a lot of money on a wasted project. He told me that the project needs to be complete for him to get the NRCS reimbursement, and told me to finish it.
There will be a solar array, a solar pump, 10,000 gallon polyethene storages, and a tire trough put in at taxpayer expense for nothing. When he sells the ranch, I expect he will not inform the buyer that the water in this site is bad, and someone is likely to get scammed. .
Ripping off the taxpayers like this for profit is the kind of thing that gives the rest of us a bad rap.
This man is not a rancher, he is a con man, ripping off government programs designed to help ranches be more sustainable. And he is not the only one.
@juss_cassie24 I am just discovering that there are two different types of people. Some can play their memories like a movie in their minds and some cannot.
Governor Kemp signed the chemical liability shield into law in Georgia, preferring to give foreign pesticide manufacturers ChemChina and Bayer legal immunity instead of protecting his constituents from cancer, Parkinson's, ALS, infertility and more. What a disgusting display of corporate capture that will directly lead to the suffering of millions of people. Think children's cancer clusters. The liability shield legislation is a horrific turning point in American history. The situation was already dire, and this is the final nail in the coffin.
And they are claiming this is some sort of win for farmers...I can put them in touch with farmers who have been killed by the corporate lies and fake science.

I hope this decision haunts @GovKemp for the remainder of his political career;
It’s shameful what is being done by Bayer, the Farm Bureau, and corrupt politicians.
@GlyphosateGirl says it well below.
🚨 ATTENTION: CHEMICAL COMPANIES ARE COMING FOR YOUR POLITICIANS —
Across this country right now, including in the State of Tennessee where I reside, the Bayer-Monsantos and others are lobbying our State Legislatures for Legal Immunity.
So what would that mean??
A Multi-Billion Dollar Corporation could sell a pesticide or an herbicide that they know has the potential to cause cancer, and you could be that tragic case of the individual who is diagnosed with that cancer, with it fully attributable to the product they made Billions of Dollars selling, and still, you will not be able to sue them in a Court of Law.
What’s more, if that cancer leads to your demise, your family can’t sue them either.
Because they will have been given a free pass by our State Reps, a quid pro quo if you will in exchange for campaign funding, under the guise of it being bad for all of us if those chemical companies were to go out of business from having to compensate us, the People, for giving us cancer. Get real.
Tag your State and Federal Representatives and demand ACCOUNTABILITY right here, right now to stop this nonsense.
NOTE: Neither Anna nor I have taken a penny to share these views; and I would dare the opposition to say the same.
I’ll add that I’ve never handled a glyphosate case in my 19-year legal career nor any other personal injury action against a chemical company. In fact, I was litigation and liability prevention counsel for major chemical companies at the beginning of my legal career right out of law school. I make these opinions based upon my personal, independent knowledge as someone who grew up on a farm, lives on and operate a farm today, and knows, as an attorney, how the American legal system is compromised.
@stclairashley@elonmusk@LauraLoomer@Tesla just so you know I am eating Doritos and giving myself no way looks in the mirror as I read this and wait for the shower to warm up WOW
🚨 DOJ TAKES ISSUE WITH MY POSTINGS ON X RE: THE U.S. FARM CREDIT CASE —
Mark Wildasin, the Assistant U.S. Attorney for the Middle District of Tennessee, sent the attached letter making clear the DOJ has no intent to release the investigative files related to my suit against President Biden and the Farm Credit Administration without our agreeing to a Protective Order, requiring those documents to be produced confidentially; denying the public’s access.
In fact, Wildasin, as an agent of the DOJ, went so far as to state the following:
“Unfettered disclosure of the investigation file and related documents" is not critical to resolving this case in federal court, and neither is "ensuring transparency and accountability," by which we understand you to mean posting documents related to this lawsuit on social media, such as your March 17 letter which was posted on X on or before March 21, 2025, your March 24 deposition notice to former Inspector General Laguarda and your March 25 deposition notice to former President Biden, which both appear to have been posted by your client on the same day they were emailed to our office, as well as involving the public in the decision about who should be deposed.”
——
Where is @AGPamBondi and where is @POTUS and where is @elonmusk??
This case involves 640,000 farmers in the U.S. Farm Credit System who have been denied Due Process in the face of wrongful foreclosures and dealings on farmland with foreign agents, but our United States DOJ says the public should have no access?
And how is my posting of information on a public case of more concern to this DOJ than the fact a federal agency allowed a whistleblower to be extorted in an effort to stop an investigation into fraud committed against farmers and ranchers by lenders within a government sponsored enterprise?
It should also be noted that Wildasin sent a letter thereafter saying he considers this lawsuit to now be against Donald Trump, and not Joe Biden, despite the fact our allegations center on Biden’s failure to appoint the Farm Credit Board —
It may be of importance to someone that Mark Wildasin served as Joe Biden’s Acting U.S. Attorney in Tennessee from November 2021 until December 2022, the time period in which I was extorted as a whistleblower after reporting fraud to my government.
@HarmeetKDhillon, we need your help.
This is not right.
