4/ 🟡 GOLD: The $5k Milestone
It’s here. Gold hit $4,983 this morning. As central banks dump USD and trade wars go nuclear, $5,000 is the new floor, not the ceiling.
• Move: Stay long $GDX.

Geopolitics isn’t a headline; it’s the alpha. With Gold touching $5,000, Trump threatening 100% tariffs on Canada, and Iran’s "finger on the trigger," here’s the play:
3/ 🇨🇦 CANADA: The Resource Pivot
Trump’s 100% tariff threat over the CAD-CN deal is a "sell the index, buy the asset" moment.
• Trade: Long $WRLG (Gold), $VET (Gas).
• Logic: Canada is moving to bypass US via Asian energy exports. Own resources, not trade-exposed manufacturers.
Geopolitics > charts right now. Trump 2.0 tariffs are squeezing India/China, Canada is quietly re‑gearing supply chains toward Beijing, and EM FX is crowded and tired. Trade the fractures: long CAD vs EM, express India risk via USD/INR, and own oil vol over direction.
💡 Gold vs Fiat: The Hard Truth
Gold doesn’t just rise…
Fiat currencies lose value fast.
Over ~20 years:
🇨🇭 CHF → +611%
🇺🇸 USD → +703%
🇨🇦 CAD → +879%
🇮🇳 INR → +1,503%
Same story, different currencies.
Hard assets always win long-term.

71% of H-1B visas go to Indians🇮🇳.
Trump’s new $100k fee punishes Indian talent & tech firms (TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.). Burden: $13M ➝ $1.3B.
Denial rates peaked at 24% in 2018 vs ~3% now. Indians power US innovation, not abuse it.
Blocking skills = slowing growth. #H1B#India

Trump plans a 25% tariff on Canadian goods, citing immigration & drug issues, and a 10% tariff on Chinese imports. This could hurt Canada’s economy, raise prices, disrupt trade, and strain US-Canada relations. Retaliation risks loom. #TradeWar#Canada#Tariffs
@Hightrys @Mr_Derivatives It’s very easy to say just go and see the data. How about you go and see that the US inflation raise the highest in 2022 since last 40 years. What other securities dropped more than half of its value? Such from a risk point of view are not safe investment assets.
@deshjais @stockifi_Invest How is it a fair comparison when the Indian nominal gdp is 3.3 trillion compared to 25 trillion for US with debt getting more expensive than before and also with a population of 1.4 billion with most people being middle class and poor?
@DovishBoii@hawkishdude Nice arguements. I agree both have different pros and cons. Looking at the value of delta for a deep ITM call option would be close to 1. To lose entire premium cost, the underlying stock has to do a significant move. If one wants to hedge this risk, they could use covered call.
Why do investors buy stock outrights rather than buying long-term ITM call options and keep rolling them over?
Let’s discuss.
