Victims have came forward, but as happened in Rotherham for years they have been ignored. It’s why it is called a cover up..

@MattPrinciple @TheAliceSmith No, if it was Rotherham on a national scale then it would be 1.4m or so. 250 is clearly a guess of a 30 year victim count, but based on over 15 other towns with grooming gang prosecutions there is nothing to suggest Rotherham is statistically an outlier. 100 Rotherhams = 140k

@MattPrinciple 250k is a guess. Part of the horror here is that the role of the authorities is such that they have no idea what the number is. Sure 250k is dubious, but the government hasn’t got anything to refute it. The other factor that makes it more credible is the 30 year period involved
