@shobabs_ Your point is valid, however, that rule is also a very valid one, if we're being honest.
Her situation does not invalidate the essence of that kind of rule for a young couple.
@_Rantimi_ I understand you. Yes, rules create order.
I personally think it’s okay to not have rules that are ‘set-in-stone’, and why life might require us to be flexible sometimes.
It’s why when it comes to marriage or life as an extension I find people who hold strong opinions very funny, because life is very funny too and would eventually make you look like a joke.
When we got married, my husband and I agreed that we won’t entertain visitors for for more than 1 week and they must inform us before coming.
10 months after our marriage, I lost my mum. Guess who had been accommodating my two younger ones for over 3 years?
We sometimes say things due to lack of experience, it is when life present us with the real deal that we know who our people are.
That "how many hours an aspiring 3D artist should study" discourse sounds pretty funny after today's news about xbox studio closures.Maybe we creatives should spend less time polishing details nobody notices and more time learning to create business to drive out c-suite leeches.
You ring your partner & they fail to pick up?
They text in a spare moment to tell you whats holding them up. Eventually when they return your call, they narrate all that happened without making it seem like a question & answer situation.
Accountability in action? Always top notch.
"Babe I shouldn't have said that"
"Thats true, I made this same mistake two weeks ago, I'll work on improving"
"I hurt you & I'm sorry, lets talk about it over dinner"
Communicating anything is easy.
You ask a question? They respond, no guilt tripping or anything corny.
These are bare minimums by the way.
Lets love right!
State of Unreal is 24 hours away and we’re eager to show you what we’ve been working on to improve developer experience and have our partners shed some light on the cool things they’re doing with Epic tools!
The livestream will be beamed out tomorrow June 17 at 9AM CT: https://t.co/s82Gm2lrqe
This is seriously inspiring 🤯
Love how Makan Gilani focuses on movement, shape, and reusable procedural systems instead of relying on flashy visuals. That “AAA feel” with simple forms is such a powerful reminder that great game feel starts with strong animation and design.
Two years ago, my friend received a prophecy that she was going to have a huge wedding, one that would be the talk of the town.
Fast forward two years, and she’s getting married this July. The problem? She doesn’t see that prophecy coming to pass. Her fiancé is an average guy-
I noticed something:
People who have traveled a lot tend to judge less. Not because they became nicer, but because they've seen too many versions of what's "normal."
In one country, it's normal to eat with your hands.
In another, it's normal to stay quiet at the table.
In a third, it's normal to hug strangers.
When you've seen 30 different versions of "the right way," you stop believing yours is the only one.
Travel doesn't just teach geography.
It teaches tolerance.
