So excited to share my recent publication in @LabonaChip on biofabricating complex perfusable tissues embedded in hydrogel in a high-throughput multiwell plate format. Check it out here: https://t.co/RO5deFRLpz
The 2nd place prize of our C2Discover Microscopy Competition goes to Shravanthi Rajasekar (@shravr07 @BZhangLab) with a stunning image of Lung Alveoli on a Chip! The engineered lung alveoli (red) can be seen intertwining with blood vessels (green) in an organ-on-chip platform.
I had a wonderful time at my first ever in-person conference in Banff this week! Thank you @CanBiomatSoc for the WBC 2016 Travel Award which allowed me to share our work and learn more about the exciting work being done in other labs #CBS2022@McMasterEng
It was a pleasure to attend the 11th annual BME symposium and be able to listen to both guest and student speakers across the field 🩻⛑🧠🫁. Amazing research to advance healthcare 👏🏻. It was a bonus having my poster from @BZhangLab on a colon epithelium model place 3rd overall😁

Lastly, we showed that this technique can be scaled up to produce larger liver tissues that can produce albumin for at least 20 days in a 24-well plate and are compatible with clinical imaging such as ultrasound.
Don't miss today's BIMR seminar by Prof. Jeremy Hirota, @machealthsci, who will talk about models of lung disease and the role that tissue engineering and 3D bioprinting can play in understanding lung health. Seminar takes place at 2:30 pm via Zoom: https://t.co/r9JkrUt9Ni
