@systaciehe@jessblackburnt@sofiareadx@nyeemamiah @doc_kristy How do you plan on introducing electrochemistry in the curriculum? Any list of experiments already shortlisted? I find the voltaic pile, microscale electrochemical cell and microscale electrolysis very fascinating. Maybe Na air or Al air batteries as well?
Popular culture, esp literature and cinema, focuses on social factors triggering #depression. There may be some reference to psychological factors (often difficult to split psychosocial). But rarely are bio factors depicted. Bio-psycho-social reference is completely missed. 1/2
@shubhrata_p Thanks, i feel coming across your book was the turning point for me, as i finally found some hope and very diligently worked with the CBT specialist and wrote detailed notes on all the distorted thoughts and reached the root of the problem and worked our way through them.
@vyaspranjal33@shubhrata_p Absolutely, there is no shame there. However, only meds wont help to come out of depression, it is the therapy & working on your thought patterns persistently which helps to get back on track. Taking meds definitely helped me in slowing my brain so that i could work on myself.
@mrsjmasters great, thanks a lot. We also do leaf disk assay which works well. Have you watched green planet episode 2? It has a beautiful clip of underwater photosynthesis. check from 20.30 https://t.co/ANHzH1u6Ua
@MrShortFHS_sci Hi, I was trying out the 'is your toothpaste basic' resource and i find it very useful to show in our teacher training workshops. I saw you used 0.1 M acetic acid to see if the toothpaste neutralizes, is there a reason we use this particular strength of acid?
Okay, hoping to get the word out about the new book. 5 copies to give away. Retweet to put your name in for a drawing for a FREE BOOK! (Winners announced at the end of the week.) Great for your summer reading. https://t.co/UwqPHbglOs
@UncleBo80053383@dave2004b@theASE 2. And plan to inculcate more of it. I am part of an organisation currently which trains teachers pan India, and i have started taking sessions solely on microscale techniques recently. The book will be really useful. I will keep you updated on my progress
@UncleBo80053383@dave2004b@theASE Absolutely, i have been following your work ever since i came across microscale techniques. I have been a RSC teacher trainer in India, and we have been doing some microscale (few like double displacement, electrolysis, diffusion of gases) experiments with the teachers here.
