1/8. Most Indians see the Big Fat Indian Wedding as a national achievement and are not put off by it, according to TV commentary, including on BBC. Really? Did BBC, anyone, do a poll/survey of most Indians? People hit the streets for what they see as a national achievement – like to greet the returning T20 world cup winning team. Anyone seen Mumbaikars dancing on the streets to celebrate the Ambani wedding? #ambaniwedding #psainath

Six years ago, Rohith Vemula was killed. He was forced to take his own life after being relentlessly hounded by Brahminical establishment for speaking against caste.
His last letter remains the most important Dalit text in English, one that changed the course of our history.
Just finished reading The Hungry Tide. I'd forgotten what a great storyteller Amitav Ghosh is. Can't get over how well-written Fokir's character is. He says so little but you can't help but feel so strongly for him. Damn it, I was not expecting to feel this kind of grief.
I’m so gutted for Andy, but more than anything I’m so proud of him - he just played 5 matches back to back which is something we haven’t seen for a long time. He’ll be fired up for the AO and I’m here for it 🙌🏻
