Not an AI engineer by any means but was lucky to attend a meet that involved folks from Anthropic last year since I was involved in an agentic AI project at my prev org. Here's my notes from the meet and what I understood from it.

@uds5501 As @Delta2315 said, oss programs are not internships. Most of them are menteeships(which people do not get). A lot of folks make money off topmate etc. Idts charging for foss program related advice is in the spirit of foss honestly. Its moreso about learning and contributing.
My teammates, Adhesh Athrey, @anirudh_sudhir, @polarhive, and I presented our project Anna, a static site generator, at the 76th Go Bangalore meet.
This project was part of the AIEP program conducted by @AcmPesu.
Had a fun time @FOSSUnitedBLR's hardware meet-up today! Splendid job on your first talks @DeVere_Maverick and @lain_2004! And @layogtima with his golden retriever energy! Hoping to have folks saying "ah your speculations sucked" after a decade XD

New, from me: I'm working on a new vector search SQLite extension, called sqlite-vec, to replace sqlite-vss. Written entirely in C, much more portable, and much more customizable.
Big bonus: it'll run everywhere — even WASM!
