Every pregnant woman should start Antenatal Care (ANC) as soon as she knows she is pregnant and continue until delivery.

Husbands should support and encourage their wives to attend ANC regularly.

These outbreaks will not be the last the country will face. Thus, we must strengthen our health security to effectively detect, prevent & respond to them.

Busy week at @NCDCgov. On Monday, I hosted a team from @ISN_Medical and @illumina who are partnering with us in upgrading our genomics lab and surveillance capacity through the @GlobalFund C19RM grant. We discussed our lab readiness plans for delivery of ordered equipment ASAP.

Many of the signs and symptoms of Yellow Fever are like those of malaria, typhoid, and other sicknesses, so it is essential to go to a health facility for early testing and treatment for any fever, especially during the rainy season when Yellow Fever and Malaria are more common.

The final stage of screening for applicants of our premiere Media Epidemiology, Infodemiology, and Social & Behaviour Change #Media_EIS fellowship program has been completed.

#TodayInNCDC, our DG and Dir, Health Emerg. Prep. and Response @johnoladejo received a process debrief from the selection committee, made up of professionals from a variety of sectors.

For the first cohort of the fellowship program, the disaggregated data of the 30 successful applicants was also presented.
