There is one aspect of this genocide which constantly enrages me - the relationship between the pundit class that, for material and "professional" reasons upheld the narrative of Israeli self-defense for going on two years, and the their consumers, the "good burghers" (often Jews) whose support for Israel leans on their racist fear of Islam and their unarticulated demands for supremacy as victims.

The pundits did not cease to push the necessity of "destroying Hamas" which allost immediately turned to "destroying Gaza", because it isn't "our" problem if Hamas uses the entire physical space and population for its purposes, right? The "good burghers" were only too happy to sign on, becoming willing genocidaires all over the world.

Now, the hunger is flipping the great majority of pundits, even Hasbara stooges, to at the very least admitting Israel may have done something wrong. The factuality of the hunger cannot be denied and pundits pride themselves on theor punctiliousness when it comes to fact. But the good burghers never needed facts. They needed a framework for reality that would ensure their privilege and entitlement with it - "genocide can only be perpetrated on Jews, never vice versa". They now live in a fully self-sufficient solipsistic universe that would justify genocide in the blink of an eye.

Both pundits and burghers must be remembered. Both deserve everything coming to them as the wheel begins to turn ever so slowly. Their unholy alliance should also be remembered and studied by future generations.

This is Earth observed from the moon. We don’t own it, we can not control it, the only thing we can do is protect it from ourselves or destroy it with the poison coursing through our veins - hopeless greed. There is no hope we will inhabit it forever or secure it for other’s futures. Earth will destroy US, that we can be sure of, as sure as the fact that it will continue on its journey around a dying Sun even after our life-giving host incinerates it. Look at Mercury today and imagine fools like US who believed they could make a difference and reroute the finite trajectory of life on it. It’s simpler and much less burdensome to do our best to keep everything and everyone on it alive and free of the sin of Cain during the instant we call life. Lighting your path with the eternal flames of love, hope and esteem. G’n bois. Off the dais to a warm, cozy bed and sleep. Sweeet dreams.
