In Feng Shui, the fact that 80% of autistic people are bullied or used by 'friends' is because their mental layout is often an 'open Ming Tang (Bright Hall)'—no scheming, no defenses, straightforward. This extremely pure 'Qi field' easily attracts 'Robbing Wealth Afflictions' (people who plunder under the guise of friendship) and 'Hidden Arrow Afflictions' (betrayals from behind) in complex social Feng Shui. The post's grim data reminds us: 'Water that is too clear has no fish; a layout too open invites thieves.' Autistic individuals don't need to change their inner 'pure water quality,' but they must build a 'Xuan Guan (Spiritual Screen)' at their social boundaries. This screen acts as a 'buffer and filter': making the turbid energy of 'scheming' and 'calculating' detour at the door, allowing only the 'vital Qi' (true friends) tested by time to enter the inner chamber. Remember: Your kindness is expensive; it must have Feng Shui 'edges' and 'thresholds.' Don't let just anyone march straight into your natal layout.
Many on here in the twitter/X health sphere love the exercise of ‘Legs up a Wall’ for everything from venous return, to edema, to relaxation, to relief of the lower back, to reduction of their stress and anxiety (or insomnia) with its gentle action on the nervous system (a mild parasympathetic shift from the venous return and baroreceptor signaling).
In Eastern medicine, this is a famous posture and gentle inversion known to be profoundly rejuvenative to many, as it returns vital energy to the upper body, recirculating it.
I love this exercise and do it often. If you also love your legs up a wall practice, here’s how to make it a more somatic practice (you will need to grab a quilt or thick enough blanket to pad your back, and a pillow, preferably one that’s got a little weight in it)
Legs Up the Wall w/ a few nice additions :
Step one :
Get into position. Lay your quilt flat on the floor extending out from the base/bottom of the wall so that when you lie down your entire back from your tailbone to your head will be resting on it. It should be entirely under you and not just rolled up the spine.
Now, sit sideways close to the wall, then swing your legs up as you lower your back down onto the quilt supporting your entire back. Shuffle your hips in as close to the wall as is comfortable and possible. Your legs rest straight up the wall, your sacrum and the full length of your spine are on the quilt. Make sure even the back of your skull is supported. Let your arms rest at your sides for a moment and just take in this position. For those who lack the flexibility to put their legs straight up the wall over you, you can also have the knees gently bent that are spread further out to the sides of you (not as high on the wall or as straight)
Once you’re there just feel this inversion for a little while. It immediately begins reversing the pooling of blood and fluid in your lower legs, allowing it to drain back towards the heart, while this broadly even pressure of the quilt along the entire posterior body gives the proprioceptive system (your body’s internal sense of itself) a sort of body map. This is where the system receives clear signaling of where your body ends and the earth begins which equals safety.
Step two : Hold the pillow
Reach to the side of you for your pillow and bring it onto your chest/torso. Wrap both arms around it and let them comfortably rest on it.
This closes the front body, which in its open supine state can feel exposed and unguarded. Arms forward around something (held close) engages our self containment and the self soothing response.
Step three : Begin a rocking motion
Now, let a slow, gentle lateral rock begin, just side to side, very unhurried but keep it continuous. Do this gentle side to side rocking in a way that feels natural and not forced.
This is where this practice becomes actively somatic.
The side to side motion activates our vestibular system, which affects the vagus nerve.
This is also a bilateral rhythmic stimulation (same underlying mechanism as EMDR) which supports nervous system integration and allows the body to discharge (through movement) anything that’s activated.
Drop out of your head while you do this. Don’t even need to process consciously while doing this.
Step four : Hum
Breathe in and on your next exhale, begin a low continuous hum at whatever pitch feels natural for you.
Sustain it for the length of your breath before the next inhale.
Humming vibrates our vagus nerve directly through its laryngeal branch.
This voiced exhale also lengthens our out breath and a longer exhale is a reliable driver of parasympathetic tone -
Parasympathetic being the state of rest and digest, repair and recovery.
The vocal resonance will travel through your sternum and into your pillow at the chest. You might feel it in this location.
Hold this pose for ten to twenty minutes.
This is all together, a great nervous system regulation practice.

Fasting causes hair loss by increasing fat burning.
“It is worth noting that dramatic weight loss by any means is also known to be associated with hair loss, known as telogen ef uvium.”
Rodent research:
“Upon fasting, adrenal glands produce hormones, cortisol and epinephrine, which then cause lipolysis to release free fatty acids. The release of these free fatty acids near the hair follicles causes apoptosis of HFSC and subsequently blocks hair growth.”
“Ketogenic and high-fat diets are known to induce lipolysis and increase circulating free fatty acids, and therefore it will be important to determine the effects of other specific diets and feeding regiment to further understand the effect on HFSCs and the hair cycle as well as stem cells in all other tissues.”
How it works:
—Hair growth is controlled by hair follicle stem cells (HFSCs)
—Intermittent fasting (IF) kills HSFCs
—Fasting increases stress hormones
—Stress hormones elevate lipolysis
—Increased lipolysis releases excess free fatty acids
—Free fatty acids kill HFSCs
—Blocking fatty acid oxidation prevents HFSC death
—Injecting stress hormones locally increases lipolysis and HFSC death
—Vitamin E prevents HFSC death in fasted mice
—Vitamin E decreases the lipid peroxidation of the free fatty acids
“Antioxidants like vitamin E can combat oxidative stress, and topical application of vitamin E on the skin of fasted mice indeed effectively prevented HFSC apoptosis and allowed hair growth to a similar degree to control mice.”
Human follicle research:
“To further support these findings, we established a human hair follicle explant model and performed similar free fatty acid (FFA) treatments. Evident apoptotic signals can be identified within human hair follicles where active cycling HFSCs and progenitor cells are located,65,66 along with elevated 8-oxoG signals in these cells. Together, these findings provide evidence that similar to mouse HFSCs, human HFSCs also experience increased ROS production and subsequent mitochondria dysfunction, eventually undergoing apoptosis when switching to utilizing FFAs.”

Eating onion rings and drinking beer while listening to live music seems like a pretty modern thing, but it's actually something humans have done since Mesopotamia

A scent for water nymphs. Freshly picked pears, wet from morning dew, lotus flower blooming in a crystal clear pond, cold air in summer, expensive sparkling water. Makes me feel like I can be good again. Sunrays turn my hair golden, I'm more mermaid than ever. Wear to be saved.
