Our collaborators at @WorldForestID led this important work on combating illegal logging, now published in Ecological Applications. Given chemical compositions of oak samples, the model pinpoints harvest locations to within ~ 323 miles of the true harvest GPS points. This approach can be used to verify origin claims from suppliers and support enforcement actions.
