The task of preaching is to handle God’s Word faithfully and teach it clearly to others. Scripture reminds us that this work requires patience, humility, and careful instruction, especially when correction or encouragement is needed.
Faithful preaching is shaped not only by the truth we proclaim, but by the way we carry ourselves as we proclaim it.

Doctrine shapes how we read, understand, and preach Scripture.
The Systematic Theology & Preaching course helps preachers think carefully about how Christian doctrine informs faithful exposition, connecting individual passages to the larger message of the Bible and strengthening theological clarity in ministry.

Application is an essential part of any sermon or lesson. But how do we ensure it is faithful to the text and clear for those listening?
The Application playlist gathers short segments that help think carefully about how to move from exposition to application—so that the point of the passage is not only understood, but heard and lived.

Preaching isn’t just about getting through your notes. It’s about the Word getting through to your people. We all want our congregations to do more than just hear the message; we want them to grasp it, feel it, and be changed by it.
But bridge-building takes work. If you want to grow in your ability to reach people right where they are, our Persuasion course is designed for you. Learn to sharpen your clarity and develop the skills needed to move hearts with the truth.

For nearly ten years, I have weekly used the @simeontrust worksheet and principles in my sermon preparation.
One workshop a decade ago was worth more to my ministry than all my seminary preaching classes combined.
Grateful.
Every week before Pastor Tim Hawman stepped into the pulpit, someone at the sound board asked him, “So, what’s the sermon about?” Half the time, he realized he didn’t have an answer.
Then Tim attended a Workshop on Biblical Exposition in Toronto.
“The Workshop trained me to see the colors in God’s Word… relationships between words, repetitions, and structure—discovering the point of the text through observation. To me that was a total epiphany.”
Today, Tim walks into the pulpit knowing what the text—and his sermon—are about.

2026 marks 15 years of Workshops for women in ministry.
In 2011, the Trust recognized the need to more intentionally equip women who are teaching the Bible. These Workshops were created to serve that need, providing training that reflects the responsibilities many women carry in their churches.
Throughout Scripture, women have played a meaningful role in God’s work—from Deborah to Lydia. That same work continues today as women study, teach, and serve in their local contexts.
For those looking to grow in clarity and confidence in teaching, our Women’s Workshops offer a space to develop those skills alongside others.

You spend hours in study and even more in prayer, only to wonder: Is it landing? Visible fruit is a gift, but it isn't always evident. Hebrews 11:1 calls us to a different kind of confidence; one that is not reliant on any visible assurance.
When you teach God’s Word, you are participating in a work that can often result in small changes before it is seen. Don't be discouraged by what’s hard to see today. Persevere in faith, knowing your hope is not in vain.
“Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see.” – Hebrews 11:1

A little behind the scenes of Ed, Dave and Jeremy recording Preachers Talk. We have episodes where we answer your questions. In Episode 94: Preacher Mailbag #8, they consider:
Where do you come up with illustrations for a message? How do you personally grow in your preaching? How do you deal with preaching what you thought was a discouraging sermon?
This conversation offers practical help for those seeking to grow in preaching, especially in navigating the challenges and discouragements that can come with the work.
Take time to listen and consider how these insights might serve you in your ministry: https://t.co/uGXiipY4Y6

In these turbulent times, people still need to hear faithful preaching.
At the Simeon Trust, our aim is to equip teachers to handle God’s Word with faithfulness and precision. As Scripture is faithfully taught, Christians are empowered to endure.

“How then will they call on him in whom they have not believed? And how are they to believe in him of whom they have never heard? And how are they to hear without someone preaching?” – Romans 10:14
The Bible speaks clearly about making disciples.
Romans 10:14 reminds us of the role preaching plays in that work. We are called to see God’s Kingdom grow, yet people cannot believe the good news if they have never heard it.
Be encouraged by this reminder. Faithful preaching matters, and God continues to use the proclamation of his Word to make the good news known.

Teaching and preaching from the New Testament often means working carefully through the Epistles.
Our Epistles online course helps you understand this genre of Scripture—its structure, literary form, and the particular opportunities it offers for faithful exposition.
As you study the letters of the New Testament, you’ll learn how their form and argument shape the message we teach.
