On #WorldRefugeeDay, we celebrate the strength, resilience, and dignity of refugees and recognise the tireless efforts of the @ICRCUganda, @UgandaRedCross, and dedicated volunteers who continue to provide lifesaving support, protection, and assistance to communities affected by displacement.

No one chooses to leave behind their home, their community, and their life.
On World Refugee Day, we recognize the strength of people forced to flee, as well as the hardship, loss and uncertainty they carry with them.
Civilians remain protected, at all times.
The conflict #Sudan is one of the world's largest refugee crises. Nearly every family has experienced displacement, within or outside its borders. For many, the pain of fleeing is compounded by the uncertainty of loved ones who have gone missing amid the conflict #WorldRefugeeDay
For those forced to flee, safety is more than reaching a destination. It is the chance to rebuild, to belong, and to live with dignity.
On #WorldRefugeeDay, we stand with refugees everywhere and remember that every person deserves not only protection, but also the opportunity to turn hope into a future.

It’s about surviving. It’s about being safe. No one should be trapped in an armed conflict-affected area.
Even when safe passage out of intense fighting is possible, civilians who cannot or choose not to leave remain protected under international humanitarian law and must still have access to humanitarian assistance.
