The EAR2BRAIN project has officially kicked off! Hearing loss is a major risk factor for dementia — but how do the ear and brain actually communicate?
EAR2BRAIN, led by Simone Perottoni and funded by @FondCariplo, investigates the little‑understood fluid exchanges between them. The team will develop MRI‑compatible, personalized cochlea models using fluid‑dynamics simulations and biomimetic 3D printing.
A step toward new insights, diagnostics, and sound‑based therapeutic innovations.
