I’m an online Junior with SCAD and CI Ministry of Education scholarships for Bachelor of Arts in Visual Communication concentrating in Sequential Art. Goal to produce graphic novels geared toward my countries cultural heritage to be utilized in schools. Funds? Grants? @UNESCO
Local people oral knowledge is often overshadowed by ‘imported consultants’. Reminded daily by 84 year old father that our forefathers ways are almost gone. We need our heritage in our schools curriculum taught by Caymanians. #caymanislands#culture#heritage#education#unesco
At least 1/4 of the world’s land area is traditionally owned, managed, used or occupied by indigenous peoples.
While their knowledge is increasingly being recognized, it is rarely taken into account by researchers & policymakers.

My 2022 finger digital ipad procreate painting of a concept I created in my teens many moons ago that got me at the time a college acceptance and full scholarship to attend.
@CaymanNews Cayman Islands doing the right thing, can learn to live without imports etc. Hope the rest of the world follow and stop this craziness, soon. Not be a World War but a power country or two needs to step up to the plate and put a stop to this sad senseless War. #IStandWithUkraine
@williaminniss @CaymanNews Before Banking and Tourism, we lived of the land. From every family mostly having a ‘ground’ (farm) and knew how to fish. Not saying we would be able to do so now, we have become dependent on imports and plus our own don’t want us handline fishinin anymore. We fight ourselves.
@allykerrfinance@CaymanNews A PANDEMIC its called when effecting the whole world. The NUMBERS show a small percentage affected in Cayman, they still human being lives that have friends and family. We are very small close knit community, we feel it as a whole if one person is sick or dies. No need to reply.
This is the West End turtle crawl, Cayman Brac, between park and old airport. UCCI ENV 102 students a few years ago exploring a place it is said used by our ancestors to keep turtles at a time when there was no refrigeration on the island. #caymanianhistory#turtlecrawl#save
@martynroper Elmslie Church and other places on island like the old George Town Library with exposed ceilings beams that our sea fearing sailors built are exquisite. I always feel great Caymanian pride when I enter those buildings.
Adequate opportunities for the continuing education and professional development of all #museum personnel should be arranged to maintain an effective workforce.
