President William Ruto has announced an increase in the duty-free allowance for returning travellers from Ksh.39,000 to Ksh.260,000, this is to address concerns raised by Kenyans living and working abroad as well as other visitors.

The Gov't has protected households from additional tax burdens in the Finance Act 2026 & expanded support programmes for families with a Budget of Sh 21.5 billion for:

✅Fuel stabilisation
✅Social protection programmes

These measures will cushion households from rising living costs.
