@smfcmike Yes that area has been flattened to make way for future development. In the meantime the area will feature new ticket boxes along with facilities to cater for our junior pitches, effectively closing off the stadium as it was previously.

Tompsett Asphalt are doing some amazing work at the club.

Things are slowly starting to take shape since improvement works around the club began 12 months ago.

@smfcmike Not really 11 months a year Mike, it is full time, no breaks for at least 23 months for some clubs and players.

@VinceRugari Some valid points.
My main concern would be, if it doesn't go well, have we completely killed off the opportunity for a stand alone second tier?
Also wary of some clubs already have congested calendars with Aus and State Cup comps towards end of NPL.
Plenty to think about!

@VinceRugari Preston technically would not even be eligible as they aren't in NPL at the moment.
What happens though Vince if we end up with very poorly supported NPL clubs that have unsuitable facilities, does that then deter sponsors/broadcasters from investing?
