Their journey ended centuries ago, but their story still speaks.
Today, we reflect on the courage, faith, and sacrifice of the Uganda Martyrs and the enduring legacy they left for generations to come.

“Tomorrow, we will be showing destination Uganda to over 40 nations that will be in the country for the Presidential Inauguration ceremony.” -@JulzKagwa, CEO, Uganda Tourism Board.
We’ve taken the brand to Kololo because moments of national significance deserve strong national visibility.
As H.E. Yoweri Kaguta Museveni prepares to take the oath of office, we are proud to be part of a new wave of positioning Uganda through modern, intentional, and experience-driven marketing.
Every major platform is an opportunity to tell Uganda’s story to the world with confidence, professionalism, and a renewed global outlook.

Watching Spice explore Uganda felt, in my view, like a live example of how destination marketing is evolving.
From Namugongo Martyrs Shrine, to cultural engagement with the Buganda Kingdom, wildlife experiences at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary, and the breathtaking views of Murchison Falls National Park, the tour captured the diversity of Uganda in one journey.
In my opinion, this goes beyond celebrity travel. It shows how modern tourism is now driven by experience-led storytelling through influencers and musicians who carry global attention.
When creatives share authentic moments, they don’t just promote destinations, they spark curiosity, emotion, and desire to visit.
What stands out is how naturally Uganda delivers:
Spiritual heritage
Cultural depth
Wildlife and conservation
Iconic natural landscapes
Personally, I think the opportunity now is not creating new attractions, but better packaging and telling the stories we already have.
When global artists experience Uganda authentically, they become powerful storytellers for the destination.
And that is where tourism marketing is clearly heading.

When you think of Uganda, your mind might go straight to the mountain gorillas, and yes, they are extraordinary. But Uganda is so much more than a single story.
Look closer.
Think of over 50 vibrant cultures, each with its own language, rhythm, and identity.
Think of the roar of the Nile as it powers through adventure and adrenaline.
Think of the snow-capped peaks of the Rwenzoris rising above the equator.
Think of the untold stories, the hidden gems, the experiences waiting to be discovered.
Uganda is not just a destination, it’s a whole universe of possibilities.
And moments like #POATE2026 are where we bring all of this to life. The world will be watching, and this is our time to show up boldly, proudly, and unapologetically.
To tell our stories. To showcase our beauty. To own our narrative.
This is your moment to ignite your wanderlust, connect with opportunity, and be part of something bigger than yourself.
We welcome you all to the Pearl of Africa, come experience it, live it, and share it with the world.
Let’s show up in power. Let’s show up in strength. Let’s show up for Uganda.
