BREAKING: Portugal’s national rail operator is testing Starlink internet on long-distance trains.

• Comboios de Portugal launched a Starlink satellite internet pilot on one Alfa Pendular train.

• The trial is focused on long-distance routes where stable connectivity can be harder to provide.

• It could help bring better WiFi to more passengers across Portugal’s rail network.

• CP is Portugal’s main passenger railway company and is owned by the Portuguese state.

Starlink is proving again that it can bring fast internet anywhere, from the sky to the rails.
