.@OmarAbdullah’s approach represents an attempt to re-politicise governance, reintroducing questions that incrementalism tends to suppress. This is not confrontation for its own sake; it is advocacy for citizens whose rights have been curtailed. I write.

Peddling lies to undermine the transparent recruitment system only exposes the frustration of those who once presided over an era of nepotism and rampant opportunism in public appointments.
During #PDP tenure, recruitment was marred by court stays, job scams, and the cancellation of appointment orders due to unfair and illegal practices. The present government has been working to restore credibility, fairness, and transparency to a system that had been torn apart by years of favouritism and political patronage.
It is worth recalling that the outsourcing policy was introduced by the PDP-led government in 2017. The transitional arrangements that exist today require review and correction, but attempting to mislead the public for political gain does nothing to address genuine concerns. The legacy of flawed recruitment policies left behind is substantial, and rebuilding trust takes time.
Instead of spreading misinformation, the opposition should allow truth, transparency, and institutional reforms to prevail. The people of Jammu and Kashmir deserve a recruitment system based on merit—not the politics of patronage.

Nepotism and backdoor entries was instituionalised in J&K by @jkpdp right from their first stint in the government.
I have been a close witness to how no rules except the rule of "baradari" were applied while appointing the first cadre of officials and faculty at Islamic University of Science and Technology between 2005 and 2007 by Mufti's.
This cadre absorbed more of baradari people into the university in the following years.
A probe must be launched to scrutinize all the appointments at IUST, Awantipora.
Its the @BJP4India that must answer for the @sclsrinagar fiasco in Srinagar. Having presided over the construction of Smart City Project in Srinagar, its the BJP that funnelled crores of rupees to their preferred contractors while the project now lies in shambles and is a complete failure.
On the failure of the Smart city project, the government has stepped in. In a cabinet meeting chaired by Hon'ble CM @OmarAbdullah sb today, the government has ordered a third-party audit to investigate what was actually delivered against the original proposals.

On speculation about a split in Shiv Sena (UBT) , JKNC President Dr Farooq Abdullah says,"'Yeh Naya Hindustan Hai'. We will see many more things, just wait. The Supreme Court of India will take its time. We hope that the SC will deliver justice."

Following on from my meeting with Defence Minister @rajnathsingh Sb, I met with Civil Aviation minister @RamMNK to discuss the proposed closure of Srinagar airport in October. We are working on possible alternatives to minimise the disruption & maintain a basic flight schedule as was done in the past when the airport closed for similar reasons in 1998 & 2010.
Extending my heartfelt gratitude to HCM @OmarAbdullah Sb for graciously considering my request on behalf of the people of South Kashmir, regarding a stoppage of the Vande Bharat train at Anantnag. This step will greatly benefit the people of the region and improve connectivity.
Chief Minister met Hon’ble Union Minister of Railways Shri @AshwiniVaishnaw in New Delhi today and discussed issues related to the augmentation of rail services in Jammu & Kashmir.
While appreciating the quality of service and punctuality of the Jammu-Srinagar Vande Bharat Express, the Chief Minister requested a stoppage of the train at Anantnag and the augmentation of railway services to the Kashmir Valley, particularly during the scheduled closure of Srinagar Airport in October for maintenance work.
"In the world of politics, which is filled with malaise, propaganda, and misleading information, the politics exercised by persons like you really make stakeholders of humanity and learners like me proud and really look forward to be in this Participatory democracy."
Took a moment to celebrate today’s momentous occasion with some of those who made it possible. The people working at the site of the #ZojiLaTunnel have braved altitude, freezing temperatures & many difficulties to deliver this vital infrastructure project. Their happiness & pride is so visibly and richly deserved.
In J&K, coincidences are rare. Timing is everything!
Yesterday @JKNC_ MLAs decided to protest on 1st day of Monsoon session of Parliament. Today @MehboobaMufti is chairing ‘review’ meeting at AIIMS Awantipora.
Delhi seems to have gotten busy with putting some people to work!!
