And then suddenly ... there was green. After the long months of grey I stood in this little wood last week, opened my eyes as wide as they could possibly go, and just let them soak up the green, ravenously, greedily. Soon there will be bluebells and wild garlic scattered liberally between the trees here, bursts of bright colour, but for now I am more than content with greens of every hue as far as the eye can see.
